Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch was arrested in his hometown of Oakland for driving under the influence on Saturday.

Police said Lynch was cooperative and agreed to a blood test, which showed his blood-alcohol level was over the .08 limit, although they have not said exactly what his blood-alcohol level was.

This isn’t the first time Lynch’s driving has caused problems. In 2008 his drivers license was revoked after he struck a pedestrian outside a bar and drove off. He was also suspended for three games in 2009 after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor weapons charge. This arrest could be cause for another suspension, as Lynch is already a repeat offender in the eyes of the league office.

Any suspension would be a tough blow to the Seahawks, as Lynch is their top offensive playmaker, with 285 carries for 1,204 yards and 12 touchdowns last season. The Seahawks have said they’re aware of the situation but have declined further comment.

Oh COME ON man. I know its been brought up a million times before, but these guys have enough money to hire a cab. Him especially with that new contract.

Here we go, my fear of what will happen with Lynch. He got signed by Buffalo, got fat and happy and did stupid things. Here we go again now that he has a new contract. This is one reason I am not high on this guy.

These guys are really messing up my draft strategies. Non drinkers and unmarried players move up a spot on my list now

6 games and this drops him from a player being taken at the turn to a 6-8 rd pick IMO.

And bumps Turbin way up. Have seen that he has been having some problems picking up th blocking schemes, But if he is gonna get the first 6 weeks He could very well clinch the #1, or at least the major part of a RBC

An NFL executive tells ESPN's Ross Tucker a suspension for conduct detrimental or substance abuse defaults Marshawn Lynch's four-year, $31 million contract and voids guaranteed money.

Ouch! It looks like one costly ride down the highway for Lynch. Robert Turbin is moving up draft boards at breakneck speeds.
