@ChipBrownOB: Just heard Mark Mangino spent 6 hrs in Naples, Fla., talking to Ohio State coach Urban Meyer about possibly joining #Buckeyes staff.

seeing as how the Buckeyes have been the bread and butter on the B1G grid, this sounds like a positive step in getting back there.

Is the canal system to Columbus, Ohio still operable? If not, how do they expect to barge in Mangino from Florida?

I figure if the Scioto Canal is still working, they would barge him through Mobile up the Tenn-Tom Waterway to the Tennessee and Ohio. Or they could barge him straight up the mighty ol' Mississip.' A more circuitous route would be to take the Intracoastal Waterway around Florida and then up the Atlantic Coast to New York and the NY Barge Canal to access the Great Lakes where at Chicago they would then access the Mississippi system via the Chicago Sanitary & Ship Canal and Illinois River.

Urban Meyer is a smart guy. I am sure he has the shipping logistics already figured out.
