-- Vick: D-Jax Could Hold Out --

ESPN reports QB Michael Vick said on Tuesday that he was unsure whether his No. 1 target, fourth-year wide receiver DeSean Jackson, will report on time to the Philadelphia Eagles training camp, scheduled to open on Wednesday. "I spoke to DeSean yesterday, and we're trying to figure out what's going to happen," Vick said. "Hopefully he'll be here tomorrow. DeSean just has to think about it and has some decisions to make that only himself can make." Jackson is entering the final year of his rookie contract, with a base salary for this season of approximately $560,000. Last season, Jackson made his second Pro Bowl and averaged 22.5 yards per catch, the most of any player with a minimum of 45 catches. Since he entered the league as a second-round draft choice in 2008 out of California, Jackson leads the NFL in yards per catch (18.3) and punt return yards (1,112). "Just being realistic about the situation, it's all in what DeSean wants," Vick said. "So we're rooting for him, and hopefully he'll be here, and I think he will."

DJax gets my vote for the most annoying player in the NFL... I cringe at the thought of landing him in a draft and having to root for the guy.

there are more annoying WRs in the league than DJax, but I agree...his attitude is poor. Either way...the guy has talent.

He and Vick can be dynamic together, though.

A really scary combo that can do much more than pass and catch.

DJax is electric, no doubt about it. I'm just worried about his health.

See my comment about his health in thread regarding DJax wanting new deal...

The guy only missed one game last year after getting blown up. Any player would have had a concussion after that hit. Pretty sure he only missed one game the previous year. Missing two games in two years is not a trait of a guy who has health concerns.

And his mouth. He fronts for the camera in every interview, coming off like a punk ass. He's going to get his clock cleaned real soon IMO.

I think that punk McCoy is the one who needs to watch himself on the field. The Giants are going to light him up.

They said that about Deion Sanders for years.

A) It never happened

B) He's in the hall of fame

Just cuz you want it to happen doean't mean it will.

I saw your comment. He was not the same player after that hit. He also ran a lot of the same routes. His stats ending the season were not very good besides the Cowboys game either.

The way DJax conducts himself on and off the field gets under my skin far more then T.O. and 85 ever have.

Would you say that was a different time CC?

I don't follow you here, Sarge.

...a different era? Yes, of course, but I don't see how anything has changed.

Mouthy superstars have been around for ever and they have always been hated by the disillusioned romanticists that expect John Wayne to ride in and put them in their place.

Not gonna happen, Sarge.

The good guys don't always win...Not then, Not now, Not tomorrow.

All anyone cares about is how he performs, and from what I've seen, he can be as mouthy as he wants.
