  • -- Marshawn Lynch Arrested --
    Sun Feb 15, 2009 --from FFMastermind.com
  • Bills Daily reports Culver City Police confirm that Bills RB Marshawn Lynch was arrested for felony possession of a concealed weapon. After pulling over a 2006 Mercedes Benz it is reported that a loaded firearm was found and it was determined to belong to Lynch. He was booked and later released on $35,000 bond. If these allegations are true, Lynch will most likely face problems with the commissioner's office along with any legal hurdles. This incident comes on the heels of last year's incident in which a car driven by Lynch hit a pedestrian. That case was settled without criminal charges being brought against Lynch.

I guess that "gang sign" flashing after the TDs may have met a little more than Marshawn was letting on..........

Good grief! It may be time for Buffalo to cut bait and replace his but. Jackson is a solid fill in, and the RB depth is solid this draft. Let the league fry his @$$ and move on without him.

You think the Bills will move on or try to stand up for him?

Don't know about the pot or Deuce at this point. This is the latest I have heard.

Police detective Ryan Thompson said Lynch, who was Buffalo's leading rusher last season with 1,036 yards, was charged with possessing a concealed, loaded, and unregistered firearm. Three separate misdemeanor charges instead of any felony charges. His arraignment is scheduled for March 3.

-- Lynch to Meet with Goodell; 1-2 Days of Suspension Expected --
Tue Mar 17, 2009 --from FFMastermind.com
CBS Sports' Clark Judge reports Buffalo Bills RB Marshawn Lynch will meet Tuesday with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell in New York to discuss Lynch's arrest last month -- the second time in nine months he has been involved with the law. The expectation is that Lynch will be suspended, with persons close to the situation anticipating that Goodell probably punishes him for one but no more than two regular-season games. Any decision, however, will not take place until after Goodell sits down to interview the running back and allows him to defend himself. Lynch is expected to be accompanied by lawyers, as well as by members of the Buffalo Bills. It is not anticipated that the Bills will take action against the two-year veteran, no matter what Goodell's findings are in the wake of Tuesday's hearing.

Larry to the Bills and Marshawn to the Chiefs.

Wow. Larry AND TO in the same locker room. Throw in PacMan Jones and Dick Jauron has all but handed in his resignation after the season.

Reports from multiple sites have Lynch quoted as fully expecting some type of suspension. I have seen ranges from 1-2 games to up to 4 games. Lynch owners need to track this........

  • -- Fred Jackson No-Shows --
    Mon Apr 6, 2009 --from FFMastermind.com
  • The Buffalo News reports RB Fred Jackson is a conspicuous absentee from Buffalo Bills offseason conditioning workouts. Virtually all of the Bills' young players are in attendance, and one would expect Jackson to be there, since he is an up-and-coming player entering his third NFL season. However, Jackson's contract with the Bills ran out in March, and he is dissatisfied with the Bills' contract offers so far. He has elected to work out on his own in Buffalo instead of at One Bills Drive. The Bills' offseason conditioning program entered its third week today, and Jackson was not in attendance. Because he has only two years tenure in the NFL, Jackson is an "exclusive rights free agent." That means the Bills have exclusive negotiating rights to him because of the fact they made a minimum contract offer to him in late February. He can not negotiate with or sign with any other team. At worst, Jackson is guaranteed to play in Buffalo this season under a one-year deal for $460,000. The Bills and Jackson's agent, Jerome Douglas, have been talking about a longer-term deal for several weeks.
