rotoworld,
Coach Pete Carroll is considering starting Leon Washington in Saturday night's third exhibition game against the Vikings.

Washington has come a long, long way since his 2009 compound leg fracture, and done it so impressively that he's a realistic candidate to emerge as the Seahawks' top option in the backfield. While it's not necessarily the case here, players that start the third preseason game are frequently starters in Week 1. Washington's ADP should begin to climb, while Justin Forsett's falls. Washington is healthy, and the most talented running back in Seattle.

I'm happy to see the young man make it back from such a dreadful injury.

From everything I have seen on Hawks boards, Justin, Leon, and Julius are all going to get a shot at starting during the preseason

If Leon is all the way back it may not be so clear as to who is the best RB in Seattle Tekie. It's a good situation to avoid IMO.

Leon Washington WILL start Saturday's preseason game

(FFToday) Leon Washington will start Saturday night in Seattle's third exhibition game, at Minnesota. It's essentially the final dress rehearsal before the regular season starts Sept. 12. Washington is ahead of most estimates on his recovery. And he's at the front of the race to become coach Pete Carroll's No. 1 rusher this season. Carroll had cautioned Washington would be limited in training camp, yet he's been going all out since almost Day One. His only limitation: A cautious Carroll won't let him return kickoffs yet.
