"He looks great," Carroll said of Lendale White "He's 218. I can't remember him ever being that light. I don't think he was that light when we recruited him way back when."

Leon was a beast, but there is no way in hell that a guy who scats and cuts like him can ever regain top form after a traumatic double compound fracture. This wasn't a routine break. He is running straight forward again but best case scenario is a 80% recovery, more likely a 70-75%. I love the little warrior but I don't see him ever being a big factor again. Forsett will out produce him.

True RC, but he still brings great value as a PR and KR since lateral movement isn't as big of a factor.

True, he might enhhance def/ST, and be a much bigger factor in the REAL NFL. I just don't see him impacting the fantasy scene much, and I hope I'm wrong.

i'm wondering if forsett will be the guy between the 20's and white inside and goal line? . . . of course i could easily see those roles reversed . . . i agree if they are looking for a lead back, this is white's shot to show he's got something left to prove.

rotoworld,

According to the Associated Press, Leon Washington's compound leg fracture "may have him out into training camp."

In spite of the gruesome nature of his injury, the Seahawks felt confident that Washington would be ready to begin training camp. Washington only cost Seattle a fifth-round pick in April's draft, but if he can't return to his pre-injury form, the Seahawks will be forced to look to pound LenDale White, their other draft-day acquisition, in the running game.

I see them using White more anyway, even with a healthy Washington

(nfl.com)Seattle coach Pete Carroll on Monday hinted at what role LenDale White will play for the Seahawks this season as he will share carries with Justin Forsett, Julius Jones and Leon Washington. "He's established that he can score touchdowns," Carroll said of White, who was traded from Tennessee to Seattle this offseason. "He's been a physical runner.

White toned way down this offseason and is now near college weight. Having to take a major back seat to CJ last year might serve as huge motivation for him to prove he is a realiable running back and not just a goal line back.

rotoworld,

ESPN.com's Mike Sando has LenDale White as the "early choice" to start at running back in Seattle.

Sando is a former Seahawks beat reporter, so he's a trustworthy voice on the team's backfield. Sando also acknowledges that Julius Jones' roster spot is "somewhat tenuous." We expect White and Justin Forsett to see the majority of the touches this year.

(nfl.com)The Seattle Times reports Seahawks RB Leon Washington said the doctors have told him the compound fracture of the tibia and fibula in his right leg are 95 percent healed.

That's great news! Leon is a fiesty runner, has been since college. Seattle looks pretty locked and loaded with Justin, LenDale and a healthy Leon.

Leon went on to say in the article that he felt he owed the team something for taking a chance on him. His mind sounds sound, lol. The RB situation in Seatle is a mess for fantasy owners but might end up good for the nfl team itself.

rotoworld,
Seahawks GM John Schneider did not rule out the possibility of Leon Washington (compound leg fracture) starting training camp on the "physically unable to perform" list.

If Washington does start camp on PUP, it means he can rehab and attend meetings but can't practice. He can come off the list at any time during camp. The key here is that a player on the camp PUP list is eligible to be placed on the Reserve PUP list once the season starts. That would keep Washington out of the first six weeks of the season. The Seahawks won't know if that will be necessary for awhile, but it's another reminder that LenDale White and Justin Forsett will likely be the main backs to start the season.

OOPS.......................

The Fat Kid just got cut from Seattle. No link, but I still get the emails from FFG and they are usually spot on in that area.

Forsett has to move up the charts with that move.

RB Lendale White has been released by the Seahawks, ESPN.com's NFC West Blog reports. "It became apparent at this time that LenDale was not ready to be a member of the Seattle Seahawks," general manager John Schneider said. "It just did not appear to be the right fit at this point in our program.

Ok, so where could he land that would best screw up my fantasy team? Hey how about Denver? He could screw Moreno out of the goal line work....or maybe back in Tenn. so the Titans could afford to let Johnson sit.
