Only problem is, no matter what moves they make, they aren't in the NFC West and still have to overcome the Packers and Vikings, and on a lesser level Chicago before a wild card slot is even realistic.
They could improve to 9-7 this year and it wouldn't matter, and that's sad because I'd like to see them return to the competitive and entertaining team they were in the Barry Sanders/Mouse Davis era.

Not sure here.

Vikings have painted themselves into a corner. If Favre is not back, they are screwed. Period. If he is back...they have to hope beyond hope he can replay like last year. That may be a stretch.

Packers definately look to be in great shape this year. Addressed the OT issue. Have a few other holes to fill...but they should be right back at the top this year.

Chicago is lost in confusion. They simply don't have the talent to use Martz' system. Not this year, and the defense just keeps getting older.

So I see a solid year for detroit this year. If they can address OL with this next pick. I love the tools they now have in place on offense with CJ, Scheffler, Pettigrew, Best and don't forget Burleson. Add some blocking and a defense that can hold scores and they will be 0.500 this year.

Next year they will be contending with GB, while chicago and Minny will start to fall more IMO.
