rotoworld,
Kevin Smith (ACL surgery) was cleared to resume practicing on the Lions' first day of training camp.

Smith "was considered to go on the PUP," explained coach Jim Schwartz, "but he's been here an awful lot and he's done an awful lot and he's recovered well. He was able to go in and go pretty much without any limitations." Smith will only take part in one practice per day, but he's well on his way to suiting up for the regular season opener. He's a "handcuff" for Jahvid Best owners this year.

HA HA

He's the #1 in Detroit!

Remember.....Best is "Bush Like"

Pierre Thomas was drafted in the 2nd round vs Bush in the 6th in SOFFL.

Is Thomas considered a "handcuff" to Bush?

If Smith stays healthy he'll be the fantasy back to own.

Why are you so smitten with CJ?

I'd trade him to you out of pity but all those 2nd round WR's you have would cost me a 1st.

Get somebody on your team that's worth a darn and I'll hand him over.

Detroit Lions RB Kevin Smith (knee) has been a surprise so far in training camp, according to Tom Kowalski, of MLive.com. Smith may be close to 100 percent healthy to start the season, which is shocking because he had major knee surgery in December. Smith is hungry and seems to have an entirely new level of intensity.

Flip side of the coin:

KFFL Detroit Lions rookie RB Jahvid Best has been as advertised so far in training camp, reports Tom Kowalski, of MLive.com. Best has the speed, cutting ability, vision, receiving ability and balance needed to be a complete back, but he still needs to show he can do it with an angry NFL defense after him.
