Keenan Allen

I have him ranked higher than most at 7 behind Brown, Julio, Beckham, Hopkins, Green and Dez (PPR). Was having an amazing season before he was hurt last year. Good situation on a team that should be throwing a ton again. 90 targets and 67 catches in 8 games last year. He had dropped some weight to gain quickness last year and I read he had dropped a bit more to play even quicker. Seems dedicated to being a top receiver. If he can increase his TDs a bit, could be looking at Antonio Brown like numbers for the price of a mid to late 2nd round. Whisenhunt back. Good times.

I guess he's been on the shelf too long for me. I have just not given him much thought.

Guess now's a good time to start thinking about him.

I need to look at him closer, I agree he has huge phases, but he is always hurt. I know you can't predict injuries, but as he continues to drop weight to gain speed, i wonder if he is losing his durability more as well.

I'm hoping my local league looks at overall numbers and he slide into the 3rd.

Last years injury was kind of a fluke, lacerated kidney. Missed 1 game in 2013 and 2 in 2014. Not too worried about injury.

3rd would be highway robbery for this guy!

I absolutely love Keenan this year. The fact that his season ender last year wasn't a ligament injury puts him above other rehabilitates like Jordy and Kelvin IMO.

I know ppl are really high on Arob right now, but that late 1st early second turn is where Keenan should be going ahead of him in my opinion.

Major draft target for me.

Yeah, I see the list but under the pressure of the clock, you're up, Green and Dez are still available and Allen will never make it back to you.

You reaching or playing the odds?

I would still go Green or Dez in that order due to TD upside. They have more potential for a monster type season. Allen isn't nearly as strong in the red zone.

But again, would not be surprised if he out performs either or both.

I really like Green this year. If Cinci is smart, they look at what Atlanta does with Julio and apply. Kid needs more targets. Move him around more. Wasting a great talent. 136 targets isn't enough. Need to get back to 180 range.

Agree. Nothing wrong with Robinson, but man, Jags got a huge amount of garbage time points last year. I know they all count, but if their defense is improved as expected, not sure that can be counted on again. Of course, Bortles is improving, so that could compensate for less late game action.

Yeah, 3rd round for Allen is probably a pipe dream but about half the guys in my local league are more casual players so he could slide. Hoping to draft top 3 and get a Beckham, Allen, Jeffrey, Evans, Cooks type start in the first 3 rounds.

Allen is definitely one of those guys flying under the radar this year. I wasn't too high on him at all until I started reading more about him and what his stats might have looked like had he avoided the injury last year. In local money leagues where half the guys/gals are much more casual in their approach to drafting, I could see getting this guy at a great value... at least I hope so! I have him right in there with Cooks, Evans, A Rob etc. after guys like Green, Dez and D Hop are gone.

Durability is my only real concern with him. He always seems to be banged up. But he's one of the best when on the field IMO.

Maybe, but a lacerated kidney is more of a fluke than a soft tissue injury. I like his value of his current ADP.

I really hope he is overlooked as well. I had him last year and he was balling out until he got injured. He is in a really good situation and with Gates now an old man and the fact they let L. Green go tells me they plan on using the WRs primarily.

What about Henry ??

U guys like Allen better than Jordy? I know was a serious knee injury but was in the preseason so he has a full year to recover and he was clearly missed in the Packers offense last year. Think Rogers throws his way a ton this year and could finish top 5.
