Cellphones are a wonderful thing and people are Bouncing all around the Internet.

Some people come here all the time using cellphones but sometimes are limited in what they can do.

What I am wondering is can you actually make a draft pick at a Fantasy Football website?

Not that I wouldn't.

I am a man of means by no means (Roger Miller).

Bare necessities around our place and mobile anything is considered a luxury....except car, of course.

Yes, you should be able to. I will likely be making my pick via an iphone, so if it doesn't work, I will find out the hard way :)

There's an MFL app written by Chris Stewart that I've used to draft. I haven't tried drafting other league sites with a phone, mostly because I have an iron shackle around my neck chained to the desktop computer during spring and summer months.

Ah, a new app that, probably helps a lot. That's why I asked the question. I have seen owners go to sites when they are up in the draft, show up on owner activity chart but then not make a pick when they are there and wonder if they tried using a phone to pick. t It's a question that probably would have had more No answers last year. But these phones have changed so much, network capabilities have changed so much and new apps are being created all the time. My brother had a very nice cellphone last year, top of the line, supplied by his overlords to keep him in constant contact even on vacation. This year he has a new one that i believe has 16 gigs of memory which compares to this home computer with 2. And it is amazing, I must admit...... windows like, flipping around different Window- like apps.... to maps...resturant sites....finding cheapest gas...etc.... at blazing 4 G network speeds.

That dates back way before phones. They see who's drafted, who's left, go off to do some research or put the pick on the block or what have you.

That's a great observation....... I have a cardinal rule of drafting which is never make a pick before reading the latest NFL news updates. Now during draft season I am reading them constantly so I usually don't have to go and come back.

Or start trying to trade only when their pick goes on to the timer.....I am looking at you Clash.....

Just made one in SOFFL III yesterday. You can do MFL without an app as well if you like their full site, my phone has a big enough screen that I prefer to just use the site.

Email from My Fantasy League.com..You have many options for getting access to your league functionality from your wireless device, including:
  1. If you have an iPhone, iPod, or iPad, there are several third-party MFL applications that run on those devices.
  2. If you have an Android-based phone or tablet, there are several third-party MFL applications that run on those devices, too.
  3. For folks that have a Blackberry, there is one third-party MFL application for that platform.
  4. If you own a Windows Phone, there is a third party app for that platform, too.
  5. If you'd rather not download a separate application to your phone, but you do have a web browser on your phone, be sure to check out the Reports > Wireless > Home web page from your cell phone's web browser - that will give you access to some league functionality through pages that are optimized for the smaller screen and lower bandwidth of your phone.
  6. Finally, if you have a smartphone that has a full-featured web browser (like an iPhone, Android phone, Windows 7 Mobile phone, etc.), you can always visit your full-featured league home page for access to all league functionality, just like you do from your computer.
  7. If you want to get text messages from the site when key events happen (trade offers, draft picks made, etc.) be sure to check out the Wireless Setup page.
Keep in mind that the apps mentioned above are all developed by third parties, due to our extensive developer's program. That means two important things. First, you're paying them, and not MyFantasyLeague.com, so if you have questions about the applications, be sure to contact these third parties directly. Second, if you are a developer who would like to create applications for MFL leagues, we'd love for you to check out our developer's program to see how simple it is write programs for the MFL platform.
As always, please let us know if you have any comments, questions or suggestions regarding our wireless offerings, or our product in general.
