According to sources the Falcons fear that Jones could be out for the rest of the season with a foot injury.

This is huge in the fantasy world obviously.

Who picks up the slack? Gonzo will be covered like a blanket now and they can't run the ball for crap, so somebody has to step up. Douglas seems the logical one, but he's more of a slot guy. Don't know anything about Cone.

this will have large a large impact on most leagues. Jones owners will be scrambling. This decreases Ryans value as well.

Jacquizz and Snelling will be used more even when Jackson comes back....especially Rodgers. He is a weapon in space.
Spot on.

I thought this season would go so much differently for ATL. I figured they would pace themselves with Sjax, trying to keep him healthy for the playoffs that they were inevitable headed for.

Now he's been on the shelf for weeks already, Julio is down, and the team is all but mathematically eliminated from the playoffs

I think White comes back from bye, and starts motoring again. Just my opinion.

I also thought I read someone else has jumped over Douglas as WR3. Need to dig and see what I find.

I've been digging into it already, Phic. Can't come up with even a morsel of useful info.

Drew Davis is listed ahead of Cone on the depth chart but Cone is the only one with a reception this season. Davis was also injured early on so that may have slowed him down in the race for #4.

Douglas is 29 and I get the feeling he is settled in as the #3. It will be one of the other two that steps into Julio's shoes...just don't know which one.

Have heard very feint rumors of Britt being targeted but it's just fan whispers. Gordon has also been mentioned but that's a pretty high price tag.

How brutal! One of the best and now he's done for the season.

Throw Roddys status on top of that, and you've got ATL burning. Big chance for the guys on the depth chart

Revvin' for Seven!!
H Douglas. Dump Stevie Johnson for him?

Too late. I already did. Who knows who's throwing in Buffalo as we go on? Matty Ice looked really good throwing even 40 yard strikes, and Douglas has no bye weeks for the rest of the season.

I can't see a trade being in the cards for ATL. I think the front office realizes that this season is toast. Maybe if they were even 2-3 they could be a buyer. Def at 3-2 they would be a candidate
I think that depends. IF they can get Jackson back healthy, AND not sure on contract status of White. I do know Gonzales said this is it, so they need a solid help, and the cost of Gordon isn't that high. It will take a 2nd round pick by all reports. Not a huge price.
