Is this guy a 1st rounder in a keeper league that has 8 teams and only permits players up to Yr 6? We have 2 QB`s each that each must play every week. With Manning, Big Ben, Schaub, Rivers graduating, the pool is getting shallow. Opinions Please.....

LOL Khris..
Just start counting backwards from this past draft year until you run out of names of starters or guys who might start at QB and see how they grade out in your format. In this league there will be 16 QB's starting each week and you'd be getting Freeman in year 2/6. RB/WR can be filled every year way easier than QB. In your case
Stafford, Sanchez, Flacco, Ryan, Henne hold more value as potential 1st rounders I guess. If you have a late 1st, you can probably get Freeman coming back around in the 2nd unless the aforementioned guys and others start flying off the board early for some reason.
I thought about like 6 different other factors while I just typed that but don't feel like elaborating any further because it would take awhile. That's a weird league setup, bro.

Stafford, Sanchez, Flacco and Ryan are owned (Keeper league). Henne would be available at 3rd overall pick but with the run first offense they run, I was thinking Freeman to be a better pick especially if they get a good WR in the draft or through free agency.

No it has been around for a couple of years. As far as the structure goes, guess we do things differently North of the 49th. Lol!!!!!! So Henne or Freeman??????

Henne.

Here is the thing. You dont know what you are getting with Freeman. My gut tells me Henne will develop into a better passer once the Dolphins luck into a WR.

Henne's already a very accurate passer, but he had this problem of not having a #1 as an outlet and his defenses failing him. So, he had to force things and that often turned out bad. I think the Fins address the issue of the #1 and that will allow the WR to be shuffled in such a way as to make the corp as nasty as any in the league.

Being a K-State fan I'm naturally a supporter of Freeman, but his best (that is, only) receiver is Sammy Stroughter. So I think you're better off with Henne.

Accurate or not, he doesnt have shit to throw to, which is what I was getting at when I said:

However, there are some who say:

His deep ball tends to sail somewhat. He isn't very mobile. More importantly, has a slight hitch in his wind up. Henne will throw the bone headed interception every so often, and looks like a fish out of water when the pocket collapses.

But what matters is the value of the two. Henne wins by default as the fulltime entrenched starter.

That's not true at all. The only thing he's lacking is a #1; the roster is filled with number twos, slot receivers, and situational fourth receivers. There's just not that every down go-to guy, at least not yet.

Except for the occasional bone-headed interception, this is complete and utter bullshit. I watched half the Fins games this year and nothing I saw supported these assertions.

Yep...this is classic "not shit" to throw too.

Would you admit it if they did?

I think that may be hold over opinions from his college days. All of the old school U of M QB's seem to get a tag similar to this because they are usually coming out of a run oriented program.

Haven't seen enough of him to lean one way or the other as to being able to objectively evaluate how he has developed the past 2 years.

I think that they (Bucs) will grab a WR1 with their first pick in the 2nd rd. If the Dolphins do the same i.e. draft a legit WR 1, who is the man?

Wow.....

Dez Bryant sure would work great for them.

Maybe Demarrius Thomas if he does well at the combine.

I know, if they get a stud WR, I will be grabbing Freeman for sure. Thomas is beastly. I really really like Benn as well.
