Reports in New Orleans say that Benson is ready and willing to make Sean the highest paid coach in the NFL. This season has been like seeing the writing on the wall for him. Peyton's kids live in the Dallas area and he did buy a house there over a year ago. I was worried then and still am a little bit but I don't think he'll walk out on the Saints after this disaster. The Cowboys on the other hand are going to be coach shopping very soon.
For a rare change I'll step out on limb and disagree with you PhiCin, though I should know better-lol. Vick is taking Andy down with him and coach made the choice to sink or swim with him. If Philly doesn't right the ship and watching them vs the Saints I don't think it is possible, Reid is going to get axed.
have you watched any eagles games this year mud? or more than one? because honestly, i'm sick of everyone blaming the iggles debacle on vick. yes, the numbers are bad, and i'm not saying that he's playing well, because he isn't, but he certainly is not what's killing this team.
1. HORRIBLE COACHING horrible coaching horrible coaching including but not limited to HORRIBLE PLAYCALLING HORRIBLE PLAYCALLING HORRIBLE PLAYCALLING!!!!!!!
i have been a very big andy supporter over the years, the only time i got ****ed at him was when he benched donny against the ravens. ok? so i'm not one of these philly haters. i appreciate how good our team has been yada yada yada
the offensive calls have been horrendous. just against the saints for example, the run game was going great in the first half (apparently a number of the most successful runs were audibled by vick, not called plays). anyway, it was working. do you think marty morhinweg could call a run play in the 3rd quarter? of course not!
the eagles are so predictable, even i know what they're gonna do, and trust me, i'm not technical like that. and wtf were they doing in the red zone lining up with an empty backfield? ASININE
2. o-line injuries (and poor play calling for a terrible o-line--why is vick dropping back? why is there no freaking screen option? etc.) plus horrible play (demetress bell should be fined for his play last week)
3. poor player execution--i'm looking at you jeremy maclin, brent celek (who each dropped a TD pass last week), as well as the entire D-line, kurt frigging coleman (never saw a play action he didn't bite on), the list goes on
4. awful special teams play. you can't appreciate this if you only saw the saints game, because that was by far their best performance of the year. we have been gashed all year for yards and started deep continuously.
5., um, gotta go chicklet needs entertainment.
but please don't give me this vick is bringing down reid ****. reid is bringing himself down, and doing a spectacular job of it
