Jermichael Finley - thoughts?

Finley snagged 2 TD's tonight and has had a very good preseason. It looks like he has emerged as the #1 TE threat in GB and a dangerous weapon in that offense.

What does everyone expect out of him this year?

I loved him at Texas. He was a beast that, IMO, needed one more year of seasoning, but thats past him now.

I think your looking at the next top 5 TE. This guy can do it all, and it wouldnt shock me to see over 60 receptions and 7 scores out of him this year. Donald Lee may get the initial nod, but he wont keep Finlay out long.

love him as a dynasty TE, and you could do a lot worse having him as a TE2 in redraft. I feel the same way about Jared Cook but i see Cook as more of a PPR guy and Finley as more of a TD threat

  • The Nashville Tennessean reports the plan was for Titans C Kevin Mawae to get about 15 snaps against the Browns, his first game back following elbow surgery. He ended up getting twice as much work. "I felt comfortable out there, and as far as my play goes and my elbow, it went great," the 16th-year pro said. "It felt good to be back. It was kind of like riding a bike.'' Rookie TE Jared Cook left the stadium with a protective boot on his right foot, but HC Jeff Fisher downplayed the injury. Cook was seen walking to the dressing room during the second half, his right shoe and sock off. "He came out because we took him out,'' Fisher said. "He may have (an injury), but I think he could've played (longer).'' In the locker room, Cook was walking with a limp. He said he rolled his ankle and also injured his shin. "I think I'll be all right,'' he said. Cook, the team's leading receiver this preseason, had another good game: five catches for 39 yards. "He was open, and you know he's a guy we'd like to get the ball,'' QB Kerry Collins said. Bad fumble: KR Mark Jones, who missed the first three games because of a hamstring injury, didn't have much room to run on most of his chances. Second-year CB Cary Williams started in place of veteran CB Nick Harper, who did not practice all week. Last week Fisher said Harper's time off was for "rest,'' not because of injury. Fisher acknowledged Saturday night that Harper is "sore." DE Jevon Kearse, CB Ryan Mouton, LB Josh Stamer, OT David Stewart, WR Nate Washington, DT Jason Jones and Harper did not play because of injuries.

Any idea on how bad the injury is?

Well I just drafted Finley as my #1 TE so I damn well hope he does some damage. I also drafted Celek out of Philly. So I am now debating who to start for week 1

rotoworld,
Jermichael Finley (knee) returned to practice at Packers minicamp Wednesday.

Finley battled knee tendinitis at the end of OTAs, but participated in Larry Fitzgerald's recent offseason camp and now appears to be back in for team drills. He should be among the top-five fantasy TEs drafted this year.
