Jags RB Maurice Jones - Drew ends Holdout.

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Maurice Jones-Drew has ended his 38-day holdout. Jones-Drew, however, did not receive the new contract he was looking for. He arrived at the team's headquarters Sunday, Sept. 2, and met with teammates and coaches. Jones-Drew skipped the team's entire off-season program in a contract dispute. He has two years remaining on his contract.

Good news for the Jags but a bit of a sticky wicket ofr Fantasy owners. It was reported that MJD had to show up by Monday or be inactive for the season opener. If That had happened then backup Rashad Jennings would have been an obvious great start. Now the playing time in the first game maybe split between them and neither may end up as a great start for week one. Fantasy owners can only hope for further clarity, which I am sure is coming..........

I will hold off starting MJD this week. Then go full bore week after.

I agree with Phic. Treat MJD like he's starting week 2. You have to start him after that......at least until he pulls a hammy like all good holdouts seem to do ;)

Where is the leadership in sports these days?

Jennings has worked his butt off this pre-season and deserves to start. How can the coach bench the dude that showed up and worked every day while prima-MJD laid out and did whatever prima-donnas do while their teammates work their butts off.

Sends a pretty clear signal to the rest of the team....If your name isn't on the "List" then no matter how hard you try, you will not succeed.

MJD ( I Love Him, BTW) should sit and watch until he has AT LEAST matched Jennings 4 pre-season game efforts.

Put him on the kick squad for 4 weeks and see if he has HALF the heart Jennings has.

Just a rant....I know the world doesn't work that way....

But if I were King...

Teckie, I'd love to see it.....but yeah it just doesn't work that way.....if you have talent, you can get a way with things others just can't.

Frankly if Mjd comes in and sucks and Jennings out produces him then I think there is a situation where Jennings will have more PT. if Mjd is a better player then you play ur best players. Seattle and Arizona qb situations are like that.
