The NYG of the National Football League released over paid Brandon Jacobs this afternoon. Though Jacobs was said to be willing to cut the Giants a deal to stay with them his idea of a deal at the Giants were not the same thing. Look for Jacobs to be picked up and used as a vulture for goal line work but he likely won't be putting up the fantasy stats he could have staying with the Giants and filling in for the often injured Bradshaw. Jacob owners are now free to say ouch.

2007 and 2008 was the "height" of his career. At this point in his career hes more a goalline back than anything else, and as stated that can be done by younger and cheaper.

Still he fit nicely with many a fantasy team when Bradshaw broke down. I don't see that happening with another team.

Who are the Giants eye-balling at rb in the draft? Most likely two or three.

Who is going to take his crap? There are several backs out there who can do what Jacobs can for cheaper and less.
