I Don't Wanna Go

I've seen it happen too many times.

My fantasy season ends, then the play-offs wind down and by the time the pro-bowl comes around I'm completely disenchanted with football.

Not caring about the Super Bowl doesn't bother me. What bothers me is that I will quit coming to Sports Outlaw and I will quit being a member of this little family that I love so much.

Y'all gotta help me.

Do something to get my attention. I need inspiration. Give me a reason to not crawl back into my shell.

I'm thinking maybe a Fantasy Baseball league is the answer. It lasts forever and will carry right through the NFL pre-season.

Invite me, beg me, bribe me....Do something to keep me coming here. I depend on you guys to keep me social, and without the common interest I just KNOW I'll get lazy and won't hang around.

BTW, I will not be going any where as Tekie can likely attest to. You guys are stuck with me but I want no part of fantasy baseball. Golf should be interesting this year with what I expect to be a down year ahead for Tiger.

Teckie, got something else for ya as well......become and NFL draft nut.....we start to kick some discussion up after the SB and gives us something to keep us occupied for a while.

The action may slow down, but it never stops at SO!

I too get a little bummed after the NFL season ends, sadly for me i dont like MLB enough to join a fantasy league, Nascar and the Fantasy Fishing is all i have until the combine then April and the NFL draft, and i sure dont want Sgt. John on the hunt with guns a-blazon :guns:

You all are my pipe line to the upcoming 2010 NFL draft with the College Rookie Cheat Sheets, it may slow down a bit for me but the fun never stops here.

You dont have to go Tekie :sadbanana:

SO Playoff Challenge is great! And the NFL draft gives us something to pay attention to and talk/speculate about until April. Then talking about the draft picks and getting our pre-season rankings together is next! We have football talk all year round!

The NFL Draft discussions around here have been some of the best I have found on any forum. Not just saying that either.

It is during our NFL draft discussions where you find out, before anybody else, about the greatness of players like Chris Johnson, while all the other sites are laughing at the Titans for drafting the guy :)

Well, personally I love the NCAA conference play that begins in January and of course going into March Madness. I also like Fantasy MLB, golf. I will pay more attention and get more involved in the NFL draft discussions. Also, the fantasy fishing deal is interesting......not a lot of work and pretty much a lot of educated guessing...but big payouts, so worth the time, IMHO.

Also, I am going to try to come up with a weekly MLB game that is easy to follow, interesting and with HUGE payouts (OK...decent payouts).

So, I will be around and more involved.

I'm not a FANatic about baseketball or hockey, Football is really my only love. After the Superbowl, I am really bummed that the season is over. In the past, my cure was a bikini, a pool-side lounge chair and my favorite book. Now that I'm back in FL, that recipe collapses as our coldest temps of the year are recorded.

However, this year I'm not so worried. I have Sports Outlaw. As a member who joined in the off-season last year and was instantly impressed with the various close-call threads and pre-draft chatter, I didn't even notice it WAS the off-season.

Besides the in-flight entertainment provided by Sarge, Chris and Miller, there is always great conversation and even better pre-season information.
