Doesnt offend me what so ever but saying it was backwards and they said Cam Newton was the black Tebow? Al Sharpton and the naacp would be all over this. The double edge sword sure does keep the fires burning.

I read it as a perfectly acceptable "tongue in cheek" comment about a teammate's performance.

And if Cam Newton was riding the bench behind a nobody like Orton then calling him a Black Tebow would also be acceptable (except to Newton and Tebow).
