rotoworld,

Matt Hasselbeck is getting the majority of reps at Seahawks minicamps, ahead of Charlie Whitehurst.

Whitehurst is "getting a healthy chunk" and reportedly "throws a nice ball," but Hasselbeck remains the favorite to start Week 1, as expected. We'd still confidently predict that both quarterbacks will start games in 2010.

cbssports.com,
According to a report on NFL.com, Seattle coach Pete Carroll said QB Matt Hasselbeck is healthy, in the best shape of his career and ready to have a great season. Hasselbeck is scheduled to open the season as the starter despite the offseason acquisition of Charlie Whitehurst from San Diego.

Analysis: We never expected Hasselbeck to come off the bench, and it sounds like Carroll has faith in the aging QB. Hasselbeck is far from the QB he was during his earlier days with the Seahawks under former coach Mike Holmgren, but Hasselbeck can still be a serviceable No. 2 Fantasy QB in most Fantasy leagues. He's worth a late-round pick on Draft Day.

FOOTBALL!
Which is another way of saying don't expect a lot from the SeaHawks this season.

Hasselbeck has never been the problem. The OL getting him killed, the awful RB core, and the injured WR core have been the problem of late.

Hasselbeck >>>>> clipboard Jesus, UCLA quitter Just Punt (or he'll turn it over) Loserman

If the Seahawks aren't in contention, I don't think we will see him back next year, even tho there was a team member death and injury issues for others, as QB he is going to have to put up or shut up, pull the players he has, together and get the job done. Success or failure of the team usually lands on the QB, regardless of how well he plays and how good or poorly the rest of the team does. Hasselbeck is on the bubble.
