Harvin wants big money. Does he deserve it?

So Harvin wants pretty close to Megatron type money. Kid is super talented, but has some issues.
Talent- he can do it all, return, rush, receive
Attitude and loyalty- to me he is pretty low in this area but some say it may be warranted. Either way, if these things are not on a good level, I see that affecting his pay. Distractions and attitude directly correlates to his performance and to some degree the moral on the team.
Health- this more than the before has me thinking he does not deserve that type of money. It is getting better but there are still ??
I think he definitely can put up numbers kinda close to Calvins but he has to stay healthy, stop the distractions, and prove it before he deserves to ask for that kind of money.

He is argubly one of the best athletes in the NFL, returns kicks/punts, lines up at RB, slot, and outside.....now he does have a injury history, but he made Ponder look like a halfway decent QB and gives Ruldolph a chance to get open......

Harvin wants $16.5M per. That's more than Fitz, more then Bowe, more than Jackson. They guy threatens to run off from his team. He's a head case in more then one way. Talented, oh yes but as an owner I'd avoid him at that price tag like he had a disease.

He is definitely worth more than Bowe and DJax, personally I don't think his expectations are crazy....

NFL is a business....look at it from the players perspective too, Minny has the money to give to their best player(we will call him 1a) next to AP, and Minny would cut Harvin if he wasn't performing, so why not pay a player who is

I would walk too....85 targets, 62 catches in 9 games....Ruldolph had 93 for 53, Harvin is their passing game

Not too sure about how nfl contracts are written but how about bonuses to pay him like megatron if he stays healthy. Takes care of the team and rewards the player if he stays healthy and produces. All contracts should be production based ;)

Calvin Johnson money is crazy talk. He may be the passing offense in Minnesota right now, but that's more a lack of options than how great Harvin is. Not dominate enough for that kind of money.

Good player, but he gets hurt alot. If he'd accept a low-base, incentive-laden contract, no problem paying him what he thinks he's worth.

sigh, I am torn here.

First he is the same to me as a Nicks or Fitzgerald. All three are huge upside and talent, but have issues(Nicks and Harvin injuries)(Fitz and Harvin Qb).

I WANT to take him especially if he continues to do returns, and your league scores that. He is also the only real receiver they have for Ponder other than Rudolph.

IF Minny gets some solid WR help, or IF he ends up where he is NOT the main target, I think he is solid. Otherwise, he scares the heck out of me and that cost is prohibitive.

I love harvin but he has list his focking mind.

Vikings want to try and sign Wallace.

not sure of their cap space, but getting both Wallace and Jennings or Welker or some other FA might be a good idea. Thier WR core is non-existant without Harvin
