Got autodrafted for my first four picks!

So, basically, 5 computers and an ipad couldn't run the yahoo draft Sunday night. I later figured out that I could have downloaded an "app" for the iPad but really how in the fuck are you supposed to know that. Used to be you just fired up the computer, hit "Enter Live Draft," and the shit went! (I guess I'm old) Anyway, I hopped in the whip and drove 100 mph (a reeeally bad idea, given my geographic location at the time) to my work buddy's house, only to find all the streets by him were completely torn up... No way was I going to risk the ride on any of that bullshit, so I parked a couple blocks down and sprinted the rest of the way. I had held out hope, as I had received a text informing me I had 12th pick. Unfortunately, yahoo autopicked my first four picks by the time I got logged on. They were as follows, and I will then put out the rest of my team... I just don't know what I can possibly do here. Hoping the season isn't lost, as my big money league decided to draft mid day on Saturday, meaning even though I made the playoffs and or Championship four straight years, I couldn't play.

1-12: Trent Richardson
2-1: Alfred Morris
3-12: Matt Ryan
4-1: Cam Newton

I don't get it. Why 2 RB and then 2 QB??????? I guess maybe because of how I had pre ranked my players, but knowing I would be around for the draft I wasn't super worried about it. Also, because of this I was just trying to catch up the remainder of the draft, and had really thin options at other positions. This is the league where yardage is only 50yds/pt QB and 15 yds/pt for WR/RB. 6 pts for TD any which way, and 20yds/pt for return yards, which will be important as you see how I attempted to make up for my start with alotta return dudes

QB Ryan
WR Antonio Brown (still returning kicks?)
WR Desean Jackson (doing punt returns?)
RB Richardson
RB Morris
TE Witten (hope he scores TDs this year)
R/W/T Tayvon Austin (electric returns)
K Janikowski
DEF NYG
D Devin McCourty( (also a returner)
D Janoris Jenkins May return

BN Cam Newton
BN Greg Jennings
BN Lance Moore
BN Kenny Britt
BN Isaac freakin Redman... trying to move Newton for a RB all over the league, not high hopes

Yikes. That 2nd pick on a QB stings a bit. Still, you did your best.

Maybe you can move Cam or Ryan for something solid. I've seen people do weirder things during drafts while making the decisions themselves.

Yahoo kind of dicked you over there. I know ESPN will will the roster based on pre draft rankings n will never draft a back up until the starters are filled. Usually ends with a D n K being drafted in your 1st 8 picks, so I guess that's not much better.

My reality check bounced.
ESPN now added a feature.. You can adjust what you would like to draft in which rounds. It is a bonus of dealing with the ESPN leagues over Yahoo leagues.

had my stupid surface or something(site) autopicked for my 1st pick which was 3rd rd in keeper league tonight and took Bradshaw. Was in desperate need of a smart rebuild and now messed my whole plans up. Gonna put that surface on ebay tonight

Wical... That's awesome... bout time somebody did that. I still absolutely DESPISE the auto pick but that sounds pretty tight. JJ, that's really lame... I totally feel your pain. Rook, I am trying, believe me. But not only is this league notoriously stingy on trades, nobody is valuing QB at all. Obviously can't trade to anyone who has Brees, Brady, Rodgers, and even a few after that I'm sure will at least start the season reticent to go for a Cam especially if they already have a Stafford, RG, Luck and soforth. I may have to wait for injuries, and QB injuries are not always in abundance. In the mean time, I guess I just need to try to win for now and hope somebody needs my QBs

lol That's like saying that if Adrian Peterson goes down, Toby Gerhart will get 2000 yards.

Axually it's probly more true for Gerhart than for Knile Davis. If Charles went down, you'd see Davis, sure, but you'd also see Shaun Draughn and even Cyrus Gray in the rotation. You'd see greater reliance on the passing game in general, and more use of Dexter McCluster and the TEs in the short passing game. It's not like you could just plug in Knile Davis and have the top fantasy scoring RB in the league like you had with Charles.

Guys that I "like" on the waivers in this league are bilal powell, pierre thomas, Fred Jackson, Knowshon, Cordarelle Patterson, Brandon LaFell, Andre Roberts, Kenny Stills, Eifart, Fleener, Hankerson, Helu, Marcel Reece, Blount, DHB...

Knowshon sounds like hes rising up a bit in Denver. Best RB in pass protection.

I kind of like Stills in NO too. Probably a boom or bust player though.

How many points do you get per pass protected?

Zero. Getting on the field with Peyton Manning usually leads to points though. He's changed a play or 2 at the line of scrimmage in his career.

If you can't pass protect, you're going to get bumped by someone who can

So Hillman will be Darren Sproles Lite, Ball will be in on the goalline, and Moreno will be in to pass protect.

Which of these backs will get the fewest fantasy points?

Plus I noticed Knile is averaging well under 3 yards per carry in preseason.

I am especially becoming interested in this thread since Andre Brown went down. Now for who do i drop him for? Helu and Reese are already gone...
