(KFFL) Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said during a radio interview that WR Golden Tate probably made the most plays out of all the rookies during the team's post-NFL Draft minicamp two weeks ago, according to Eric Williams, of the Tacoma News Tribune.

I'm not shocked by this... Tate is a nice fit into Carroll's plan to refit the team. And he brings a nice youthful energy to the field that should bring some much needed sunshine to the rainy state of WA.

rotoworld,

Updating a previous item, Golden Tate is reportedly playing primarily out of the slot during OTAs.

The Seahawks website said previously that Tate was seeing "ample time" at flanker. Coach Pete Carroll may be envisioning him as a flanker who moves inside for three-receiver sets. He remains a candidate to start as a rookie.

rotoworld,
Rookie WR Golden Tate was caught trespassing inside a Top Pot donut shop in Bellevue, Washington at 3:00 a.m. Saturday morning, according to TMZ.com.

Profootballtalk.com confirms the report. Tate and a friend apparently got the munchies after hitting the bar scene. The only problem was that the donut shop was closed while they were scarfing down breakfast. Tate managed to escape arrest, receiving a "trespass warning" instead. While he should also avoid league discipline, he won't be so fortunate when it comes to rookie hazing at training camp.

rotoworld,
Seahawks coach Pete Carroll laughed off WR Golden Tate's trespassing incident at a local Top Pot donut shop.

"I do understand the allure of the maple bars," said Carroll, adding that he cautioned the rookie about entering the restaurant after hours. Tate, who lives in the building and knows a baker at the donut shop, said he was embarrassed by the incident. He won't face discipline.

Top Pot is a big sponsor on Sportsradio KJR in Seattle. The company president and Tate were taking advantage of the situation on the radio today. I am wondering if it was manufactured in some way.

Top Pot needs to hurry up & expand south to Olympia! They are good.

So where is the training camp report that states that this year's high draft pick is a future bust and is showing nothing special to the coaches?

Cuz you know that will be the result of about half these guys.

They were featured on Food Network awhile back. Originally they were to be a coffee shop called Top Spot, but the 'S' on the used sign broke on the way to the store, so they changed the name since it would still apply to coffee. Eventually the donuts they served became famous and now they are a donut/coffee chain. Kind of like the Starbucks of Dunkin' Donuts, for which this part of the country is completely devoid of these days.
