Going Forward : TEs SF TE Vernon Davis and Balt TE Dennis Pita.

Both these TEs have been in a bit of a slump and from what I am reading Defenses have been routinely double-teaming them. For Pita to succeed Flacco has to prove that he can really hurt other teams with Boldin and Torry Smith which he really hasn't done so Pita may still slump a bit.

The same is true with Verron Davis, but there may be a ray of hope. Alex Smith had a nice game last outing and hit his WRs for TDs so maybe Davis does see a little more breathing room this outing as a result.

davis will be fine... if inconsistent depending on those opponent schemes... pitta will be pitta again. not spectacular, more the checkdown/safety valve

Pitta only played on 33 of their 62 offensive plays Sunday while Ed Dickson was in for 42. The Ravens are going more and more to their ground game and that trend should continue with winter nearly upon us. In the last 5 weeks Pitta has averaged under 3 catches per game for 24 yards and not a sniff of the end zone.

thts the problem with those bal TEs as well, they are interchangable, and often on the field at te same time. whichever draws less coverage based on side of the field, shape of various defenses and routes and wherever flacco notices an opening dictates who gets it. davis is going to be looked for specifically
