Giants waived RB Da'Rel Scott.

Last week I got a sniff of a trade rumor. Mikel Leshoure + a 3rd for Hakeem Nicks.

The report was stamped "BOGUS" but it made too much sense to me so I kept watching it.

Since I saw the Rumor, Detroit has made no serious attempt to bring in another WR, LeShoure was a healthy scratch and is voicing his interest in being traded.

Meantime, In NY, Nicks is disgruntled, then suddenly gets 9 targets in a game (showcasing or just trying to shut him up?) and now they waive their 2nd leading rusher.

I made a "buy low" deal for Nicks and grabbed LeShoure off the WW.

This was easy for me to do since I am win less. Not suggesting everyone should race to get these guys, but wouldn't it be a nice upgrade for both of them if it came to pass.

I am with you there, saw this too, and saw the very quick negation...which to me is always a sign. I also agree it is really wierd no wr move has been made by Detroit. They haven't even designated Burleson yet. I think this could be a great move for both, as NYG could use LeShoure and Detroit already has Bush, Bell and a rookie they like. Nicks needs some new scernery, and Giants can't afford to pay both Nicks and Cruz at that price.

Can Detroit really afford Nicks tho? Cals contract is enormous and probably running low on years. Reggie is paid well, as is Stafford and Suh. Too many years of having a top 5 pick before the rookie pay scale got changed.
