Finley to train at select offseason camp -- Thu Jun 10 9:00 pm --
Packers TE looking to take his game to the next levelJermichael Finley, the Green Bay Packers’ fast-ascending tight end, plans to work out with Larry Fitzgerald and a group of invited receivers, tight ends, quarterbacks and defensive backs at an unofficial camp Fitzgerald is conducting for the second straight offseason at the University of Minnesota. Fitzgerald, who grew up in the Twin Cities and is arguably the NFL’s best receiver, is regarded as one of the most obsessively hard-working and competitive players in the NFL. So watching him and instructor Cris Carter, among others, will give Finley a first-hand look at the time, effort and attention to detail players outside his Packers teammates put in when preparing for the season. (Green Bay Press Gazette)
FF Today's Take: And Finley's spectacular offseason continues. The third-year pro spent some time earlier this offseason with boxer Brian Vera, so this camp is just further proof that Finley's work ethic is no longer in question, as it was prior to his breakout in 2009. A case can be made for him becoming a top-five TE already this season, with all the potential to become the NFL's best at his position in the very near future.
