The leadership that favre will bring to the Vikings gets overlooked in all of this analyzing. Just listen to all the Packers players now when they are asked about this. They have nothing but great things to say about him. These players elevated their play due to the leadership he brought to the table in Green Bay.
Two years ago, it was a young offense and a young defense that was led to a 13-3 season by Favre. Last season was supposed to be better because the team had a little more maturity. Favre left, the team fell flat on it's face. Sure, the QB put up big numbers, but the winning mentality was gone on both sides of the ball.
Forget about any physical ability that Favre brings to Minnesota, even though he is a huge upgrade over what they had (if the shoulder is ok). The leadership that Favre brings to this team will elevate the players on offense and defense to step up their game.
(and it doesn't hurt that he knows the offense better than anyone on the field)
