All the browns fans I know here in Ohio absolutely hate Ben and do not want the Browns to trade for him.

Its amazing what a new uniform can do for your opinion of a guy. He ''could'' make the Browns a playoff team immediately.

Ben to Oakland for the 8th pick, Gradkowski, and Murphy.

This also would solve the apparent dilemna they'll have this year when they play Oakland (again) at home so they have the perps on their roster and won't have to stop them.

Whomever thinks Cleveland wouldn't utterly rejoice at having him as their QB are completely delusional.

Agree completely.

Opening home game...a round of "Boos" and that's it. Cleveland doesn't have the integrity that Pitt does.

I dont even anticipate a boo. By then the hype machine will be in high gear and the clamor there for him to finish 8-4 as the starter and sneak Cleveland in the playoffs at 9-7 ish

In Oakland he could have that team in the playoffs right now. He'd show up in time for the Denver fade and allow that running game to beat SD at least once.

all this discussion is fun and all....BUT, IT WON'T HAPPEN.....quote me, bookmark it, do whatever, he will never be a Brown. The delusional ones are the ones still thinking that it is even a possibility......sure QB is a need, but a cancerous tumor from your bitter rival is not a way to re-energize a fan base. And if you think Ben alone for 10-12 games makes them a playoff team, you are almost certifiable.....

(Rotoworld) ESPN's Chris Mortensen and SI's Peter King both expect the Steelers to hang onto Ben Roethlisberger, rather than trade him. Analysis: Not only is there the matter of finding correct compensation -- which is extremely difficult to gauge -- but trading away top-five QBs never happens, unless the exporting team imports another long-term solution at the position in the same deal. Mike Tomlin likes Dennis Dixon plenty, but trading away Big Ben when his value is at a low could doom the franchise for years.

Keep hearing about additional teams not interested - Pit may have the interest but it may not come to fruition until camp or injuries start hitting teams.

I think if there is a trade, it will be during the draft. I also think it will come down to how the draft unfolds. IF Buf. or Jax or Oakland go some other position, they might turn around day two and offer their high picks on Friday to acquire Ben.

If you look at all the Qb trades lately, none have gone for first rounders. So Pitts. expecting a first is rediculous. If two of the top Qbs are left day two...you might still see a deal done. It will all depend on how badly Pitt wants to deal IMO.

I have disliked the guy since he came into the league (no particular reason and not a Steeler hater), but I think Pittsburgh needs to chill and stay put. Assuming the jackass can control himself, this will blow over and there is no deal that they can reasonably expect to get that is worth a top QB.

I just don't see a deal happening..................

Man, if I'm Cleveland, I may try and pull the trigger. They have Jake and Seneca... come on. Not only would you have a QB now, but you'd be taking one away from your division rivals.

I guess the downside is giving your division rivals 2 1st round picks, but I'd still try the deal if I'm the Browns.
