Eagles Sign RB Mike Bell/ Saints Don't Match.

Saints RB Mike Bell has signed an offer sheet with the Eagles, a one-year, $1.7 million deal that includes $500,000 in guaranteed money and could be worth over $2 million with incentives, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. The Saints have seven days to match and if they don't, the Eagles would not be required to surrender any draft-pick compensation.

what is the draft pick Bell was signed at??
HE received the lowest tender. So no draft pick compensation is given if they don't match. All they did was basically give themselves the option to match any offer sheet. New Orleans that is.

Now what kind of a split are we looking at for McCoy and Bell? 60-40?
Nope.

He won't get that much play in Philly. They want a sure back for short yardage or goal line or if they have a lead and want to burn time. I honestly don't see a lot of play for him....and Weaver and McCoy will be playing the most.

I agree.

Bell is a back up. Unless something happens to McCoy you won't see much of Bell.

Ok, that's a better thought

rotoworld,
Mike Bell returned to practice Tuesday after tweaking his hamstring last week.

Due to his run-to-contact style, Bell isn't a great bet to stay healthy through 16 games. The Eagles would do well to keep him between 6-8 touches per game in a short-yardage role.

rotoworld,
Mike Bell has the No. 2 running back job "pretty much sewn up," per the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Bell will be the more rugged change-of-pace option to starter LeSean McCoy. And as long as he performs to expectation, he'll get the short yardage work ahead of Leonard Weaver. Still, his touches will be capped severely as long as McCoy is healthy.
