Eagles starting free safety Marlin Jackson appeared to suffer a serious injury to his right leg at practice Tuesday. Eagles say ankle injury at this point, High ankle sprain? Hopefully not real serious.

rotoworld,
Updating a previous item, the Eagles are reportedly "fearing the worst" on the ankle injury sustained by FS Marlin Jackson in Tuesday's practice.

"It's not good," one source said. Jackson was shedding tears and punching the practice bubble walls shortly after the injury occurred. The Eagles will update his status later this week, but early indications suggest it's serious enough that he'll miss time during the season. His two-year, $6 million contract is not guaranteed for injury. Rookie Nate Allen moved up to the first team for the remainder of Tuesday's practice.

Philadelphia Eagles FS Marlin Jackson (Achilles') will miss the 2010 season with a ruptured right Achilles' tendon.

That really sux for the Eagles, but sux for Jackson more. Especially since his contract has no guarantee for injuries.
