Dynasty trade advice

I only put this here because I don't want it to get lost in the advice forum and I'm looking for a speedy answer.

This is a salary cap league, so the contract years and amounts play in.

Hes offering :

Mike Evans $20,000 4 years

Ezekial Elliot $5000 3 years

for

Devonta Freeman $3500 4 years

Tyler Lockett $4000 4 years

I have plenty of cap space, so that's not an issue. There are penalties for dropping players though, so once you have a guy, it will sting if you drop him. Basically what I'm saying is that the only player with any real contract risk is Evans and his $20000 salary.

I normally never ask for advice, but I'm pretty hesitant to pull the trigger here.

Any my thoughts would be helpful

If $$ isn't an issue, I'd do it. I think Freeman & Elliot are both better than their counterparts over the course of the next 4 years.

Don't know much about your kind of league so take this with a grain of ignorance.

I see 2 guys being offered that I'd like to own for 2 guys that I'm pretty iffy on.

I'd be all over this.

I think I'm going to try to push this through today. Problem is that the owner is so hot and cold. He's one of these types who wants to absolutely rape people in trades, and he'll only do it if he thinks he's the big winner

Gotta sell him on the saved $
I think he sees the value there.

The more Ive thought about it, the more I really like this deal.

I'm hoping he lets me move up from 2.07 to 2.03 as well. Theres a couple players that Id like to ensure I get a better shot at. Washington in Oakland and Pharoah Cooper in STL

In case anyone is wondering, which you're not, I took Kenneth Dixon at 1.07, DeAndre Washington at 1.08 and Paul Perkins at 1.10.

We're at 2.02 right now and Sterling Shepard and Michael Thomas are still out there.

I certainly don't mind having RBs who are on the depth chart behind old ass Rashad Jennings and old ass Justin Forsett. 2 senior citizens who are average on talent the way it is. Vareen doesn't scare me either. I wouldn't mind acquiring Buck Allen just to be safe though

Okay, know the trade fell through - but here is my $0.02.

Yeah you do the deal. Why - Elliot over Freeman by a landslide. Elliot behind that O-line will be Rb gold for a few years.

Evans over Lockette as you are getting the #1 Wr in an offense vs. a #2 or #3 depending on the game.

A no brainer, and as you have the cap space...its even more gold.

Sorry he backed out. As for you draft...evidently your league must be very Rb heavy, as those Wrs you drafted went first round in my Hired guns league.

Speaking of which....check your PMs...I got an offer for you :)

We do start 2 RBs and there's a flex. Good RBs seem to be very hard to come by in this league.

Everything ended up working out ok. I made another trade today that I actually prefer.

I sent :
Tyrod Taylor 2 years
Devonta Freeman 4 years
Willie Snead 3 years
Jordan Cameron 4 years
2018 2nd round pick

for
DeAndre Hopkins 4 years
2017 1st rounder

He filled a lot of holes with a bunch of my depth. It stung a bit having to give up Tyrod, but it's only a 2 year deal, and I still have Big Ben, Jameis, and Cutler.

So you are THINKING you gave up basically Freeman and the 2nd for Hopkins and the first. I have no issue with the Taylor throw in and Cameron...but Snead may really hurt.

Like Hopkins a lot, a whole lot, but if this is ppr, you gave away a ton for a Wr and a 1 round bump. I will say, if he/she needed that much help, that pick will probably be pretty high.

I'm not buying that Snead is going to keep up the PPR points. Fleener and Michael Thomas should jam up the targets to the point where Snead is in the 55 reception range.

I'm also flush with young WR talent that carries more hope. I've got DeVante Parker, Breshad Perriman, Phillip Dorsett, and Tyler Lockett. Larry Fitzgerald and Kamar Aiken still hanging around too. Snead really didn't have much of a home here anymore. I needed that true stud WR1.

Concerning his 1st rounder, I'll let you decide. His roster is now:
Eli
Tyrod
AP
Freeman
Leveon
Chris Polk
Theo Riddick
Tyler Ervin
Antonio Brown
Willie Snead
Marvin Jones
Will Fuller
Vjax
Jordan Cameron
Mason Crosby

He's got a bit of free cash now for free agency. Still needs a defense, probably could still need a TE.

We start 2 RBs, 3 WRs, and a flex. Obviously he's got the RBs on lock down right now, but with Leveon suspended, and AP in his age 31 season, this might not work out. Add in that his WR depth doesn't add a lot of pop, and this might work ok for me.

I see his team as 7-7 squad with more potential to be worse than that, than better than that.

There were other reasons for me giving him so many pieces to get it done. I didn't have any open roster spots, and I've got a ridiculous amount of cap space. I was going to need to cut some players if I didn't trade them just so I could go out and pick up the dudes I want. Alshon, Latavius Murray, Dion Lewis, Tevin Coleman, Legarrett Blount, Travis Benjamin, Martellus Bennett, Kirk Cousins, and Bilal Powell are all on my radar.

When it's all said and done, my roster should look like this:

Big Ben
Jameis Winston
Jay Cutler
Latavius Murray
DeAndre Washington
Kenneth Dixon
Arian Foster
Paul Perkins
Dion Lewis
DeAndre Hopkins
Alshon Jeffrey
DeVante Parker
Larry Fitzgerald
Tavon Austin
Kamar Aiken
Tyler Lockett
Phillip Dorsett
Pharoh Cooper
Breshad Perriman
Coby Fleener
Martellus Bennett
Justin Tucker
