That's fairly standard for a Dynasty system though. You're basically keeping your entire roster for the long haul as opposed to a Keeper, where you usually only have a small number of carryovers from year to year.

Not sure just what you are looking for as commentary. Off the top of my head I would favor a breakdown more along the lines of these tiers (players listed in order above not by placement in the tier)

Tier 1 Adrian Peterson (MIN), Michael Turner, Chris Johnson (bias upgrade)

Tier 2 Maurice Jones-Drew, Steven Jackson, Matt Forte, Frank Gore

Tier 3 Knowshon Moreno, Chris Wells, DeAngelo Williams, Steve Slaton, Jonathan Stewart, Darren McFadden

Tier 4 Shonn Greene, LeSean McCoy, Kevin Smith, Marion Barber, Reggie Bush, Ronnie Brown,

Tier 5 Marshawn Lynch, Brandon Jacobs, Clinton Portis, Joseph Addai, Donald Brown, Ray Rice, Ryan Grant, Brian Westbrook, Rashard Mendenhall, Pierre Thomas,LaDainian Tomlinson, Willie Parker, Larry Johnson, Willis McGahee,Rashad Jennings, Felix Jones, Thomas Jones, Cedric Benson, Julius Jones, LenDale White, Michael Bush

Tier 6 James Davis, Jamaal Charles, Derrick Ward, Bernard Scott, Ahmad Bradshaw, Andre Brown, Timothy Hightower, Laurence Maroney, Leon Washington, Earnest Graham, Devin Moore, Gartrell Johnson, Darren Sproles, Jamal Lewis, Fred Jackson, Chester Taylor, Justin Fargas, Jerious Norwood, Tashard Choice

Tier 7 Javon Ringer, Glen Coffee, Mike Goodson, Ryan Torain, Danny Ware,
Ian Johnson, Jeremiah Johnson, Justin Forsett, Cadillac Williams, Brandon Jackson, Ladell Betts

I'm putting this out there just as informational for anyone who is getting into dynasty this year... IE me.

I really want to see what the Outlawz think about player rankings for the initial dynasty draft, and where certain guys should go.

The 1 guy that I look at and feel is way too high is JStew at 14. This is a guy who is in the 40 of the 60/40 split of a RBBC.

I'd much rather have a young workhorse RB like Ronnie Brown, Kevin Smith, or Ryan Grant personally.

Hell, Id take Reggie Bush, Darren McFadden, Marion Barber, or Willie Parker over him.

Shonn Green and LeSean McCoy in Tier Four with the vets? Um... no? Sorry, rookies are automatically the worst in any ranking until they produce.

I think rookies deserve a certain bump, especially if it's in a dynasty league, but you can't go nuts with it.

If a rookie is in an ideal situation, like Shonn Greene or McCoy, they are certainly worth some strong consideration. I would NEVER be comfortable taking one of those guys over a Reggie Bush or Ronnie Brown though. Especially since that means that McCoy or Greene would likely be your #2 RB.

I would REALLY REALLY enjoy an organized mock dynasty draft. I think it would be a blast to really see how it unfolds, especially if there are some experience Dynasty drafters out there.

It would certainly be a useful tool for myself for this year to prepare, and possibly further down the line for other Outlawz preparing for a dynasty draft.

I would not mind JStew as my #2 at all. He will be sharing carries but the pay off is going to be there in my opinion.

Ronnie on any given week could get less carries than Ricky
Kevin doesn't have someone hawking touches but is on my beloved Lions (which is usually enough said for the non-fan)
Willie has a healthy Reshard (spelling???) who I could see eating away at his carries immediately
Reggie has Pierre and maybe an incoming Eddy James
Darren has Michael and Justin who will take a healthy chunk of the carries
Marion has fallen into a little fan disfavor after flashes from Felix and Tashard last year

Some of the players you listed I could see being bumped up but not all of them.

.

All of those guys you listed are also in a RBBC, but will probably be in the 60 of the 60/40 split rather than the 40 that Stew is in.

How did the double post show up so much later? My computer connection has been acting up/slow/limited for the past few so I imagine it is an issue at this end.

I could see bumping them down into the next tier but they were drafted in ideal situations where they can be groomed to replace the incumbent. The longterm value is to great to pass up due to a blanket policy of not trusting rookies. Isn't that the whole idea - nab those that will be great before everyone else knows it?

It was your list. I just commented that their current situations were not the ideal either.

I also tend to prefer drafting based on perceived talent over current situations that may be more favorable. If the talent is there the rest will follow.

Not my list, from a website I discovered today. Just put it out there to start some commentary.

So far it's brought some good thoughts.

I like debating with you Cooley. You're sharp and always bring it!

I had to double check but...

That was the list I was referencing. Now looking at that I think I forgot to reference Ryan Grant in my original post - Freudian slip???
