Agreed. 8 team leagues are for chumps. Get in a 12 or 14. That's fantasy football.
How is 12 or 14 team league fantasy football and 8 team leagues are not. I know 8 team leagues are alot more fun to play.

I've played them all and 14 teamers IMO, are the most fun/competitive.
What's the fun in having a team that is stacked? All teams in an 8 team league are stacked, it's virtually a crap shoot each week.
Will you be able live it down when your brother in law's pregnant wife who joined to "try out fantasy football" knocks you out in the first round of the playoffs?
I just think there's a lot more strategy in deeper leagues. Guys who do their HW have an edge over their league-mates.
Spot on. 8 team leagues are for noobs, In a 14 team league you need to have a draft plan, a strategy, targets, and handicapping skills on your opponents. You need to watch others draft strategy and feel the flow of the draft in order to create the most balanced team that you can.

They are all fun... I played in 14 12 10 8 mean leagues since we had to use the newspaper to get the scoring. Do any of you remember that. And in an 8teams league there is also plenty of strategy. Sometimes its harder. People thought I was crazy to put D. Williams instead of A. Peterson and E. Royal instead of T. Owens, I. Bruce instead of Fritz. Last year I had made those and many more decisions that seemed crazy at the time. And I have to say there is just as much or even more strategy then bigger leagues. Also if one of your stars get hurt you have a decent back up. Like one of my leagues last year I had Brady, but also Cutler to back him up. I could tell you my record but you probably will not believe me.
That right there is another reason they are for noobs. What is the point of fantasy football if you have a ridiculous backup for every position and more than enough talented guys on your bench to play??
Boo on 8 team leagues.

O yeah, I have been playing for 15 years... I wouldnt consider myself a noob.

Some of these comments are unnecessary...
I agree. We're here to offer FF advice, not to tell people they suck at life.
I'm going to have to agree with rest of the Outlaws that you could stack a team in a 8 team league and all the in season team management and trading strategy to improve one's team would be less of a necessity.
I'm a semi-noob as this is only my 3rd year in FF and ive only played 12 team league's.
