Dolphins counting heavily on landing a Free Agent Running Back.

Free agent Ronnie Brown acknowledges that it's "unlikely" he'll re-sign with the Dolphins. Miami hasn't ruled Brown out as a backup plan, but they would have to be turned down by multiple backs first. The Dolphins are reportedly "optimistic" that they will land one player from the group of DeAngelo Williams, Ahmad Bradshaw, Darren Sproles, and Reggie Bush. Their next group includes Willis McGahee, Marion Barber, Jason Snelling, and Joseph Addai.

When Free Agency bursts into full gear there will be a real scramble for RBs. Don't snooze, you could lose out. Your second and third choices maybe gone before you hang up the phone with a no from your first choice.

Ricky Williams sounds prepared to journey to a new team and could be interesting in a backup role for several teams.

Okay, this I get. They would be the perfect change of pace for the rookie they drafted. If they go DeWill though, I don't think Thomas sees much playing time.:nono:

These guys I don't get though, unless they want Thomas to learn. They are the same basic style.....

Not really. Despite his size, Thomas is more of a finesse back. In particular, he has a wicked spin move that would do Barry Sanders proud. I could see Snelling, he would fill the scatback role and be more durable than Kory Sheets. I would prefer Sproles or Bush, in that order.

Sproles in the wildcat could be a lot of fun to watch! :thrash:
