Does Palmer have what it takes to take the Raiders to the playoffs

No Miller, I've just mentioned it many times. Palmer did leave, but the amazing thing was that he stayed as long as he did. Lewis let the nuts run the astylum. Lewis has not got the best out of his teams, and this is all just my opinion. He let Ocho drag that team down.

Okay, lets explore this. Why did Palmer stay? Why did the team get Owens and keep Ocho? You think it was coach. Would it surprise you if it was Palmer? it was greatly rumored as such. Palmer wanted more passing and more control, and the idiot OC they had fed him what he wanted, even if the team wasn't set up for it. My issue with Lewis was he didn't drop the OC sooner, and build the team he wanted, which was run first and play defense. A model he knew.

on the bright side, if palmer can get it together, the Raiders will be a force to be reckoned with this season.
My concern for Raiders is the Def. side. They lost alot, and need to get some depth. Palmer will be better, if his young recievers can continue to bail him out of bad decisions. I am actually high on the young Wrs in Oak. McFadden to me is a risk, and I would have kept Bush instead. But...I am not the owner.

Yet it was Palmer that campaigned for the coaching staff to bring in Ocho's buddy TO 2 seasons ago....

You can hate on Ocho all you want. There is some merit there and some just RC being RC.....but to make comments like I'm surprised he stayed as long as he did are.....well let's just say that it doesn't take long to figure it out. The only reason he could even think about just walking away is he took millions from Cincy to stay. He took a front loaded contract and then simply took his ball and went home like a coward.

Again, if you aren't part of the solution, you are part of the problem.

The offense should have been and could have been Palmer's.....HE LET others run the show, not Marvin.....that is on HIM! Do you see Peyton allowing others to run the show? How about Brady? Brees? Exactly.....Leaders LEAD, no matter who they have to lead. Instead of leading, Palmer showed his true colors and quit....to me that tells me everything I need to know about the lack of success he is destined for.

they seemed to have a decent D last season, didn't realize they lost so much. was thinking maybe they would challenge for the division this year. guess go ahead and hand denver the division. don't see sd or kc being better than 8 maybe 9 wins, even tho that could win that division.

As a Riader fan and an owner of an english to Raider fan dictionary, I feel obligated to say this -

Raiders!

loosely translated in this context it means, "Go Raiders, set the enemy on fire. Take their women as prize money. Enable then Enjoy Victory!"

They are a bad team with no draft picks. They challenge the Chiefs for the cellar..............

This is a bad division. Last season 3 teams were 8-8 and chiefs were 7-9. Denver got better, Chiefs are better with health, SD can never get the season started right but if they do...

Regarding leaders and palmer in Cincy: It is difficult to lead if the higher ups do not back you up. I think he probably was frustrated that his experiment of TO/85 didnt work and saw few teams with better supporting casts in desperate need of a qb and just saw greener pastures. I dont think its right but i do think that it is difficult to lead if you dont believe in the team.

I think this is the division to watch in 2012 for sure.

and watch they will because PM has gone west, young man.

and realistically, because of PM the Chiefs will get some big air time, as will the Chargers.
Believe it or not, the Raiders are still huge, always will be imho.

The AFC West will get so much attention in the press, a welcome break from all the boswash meda crap, it's bound to be entertaining for the rest of us.

and really, imho, the division has four contenders, finally. talk about good timing.

Its going to be fun now for sure. Gonna be interesting to see what moves KC, SD and Oakland make since they now have PM in the division. They watched for years what he did to the Jags, Texans and Titans twice each year. Denver defeinitly has to be the early favorite to win division this season with the others battling for second place.
