I drafted him because IMO its only a matter of time before Bush goes down. Any inside info on his injury, when is he expected to be good to go. Im not looking to start him now but Id like to see what he has in a real NFL game.

The Dolphins were making it sound all last week like Thomas was going to be active for the Pats game. Yet in reality Thomas re-tweeked his hammy Wed., missed Thur and was limited in practice for the rest of the week. Still the Fins were saying that he would be active all week, to fool the Pats???? Yet when the game came around Thomas was made inactive and afterwards the Phins said he might not have been that close to being ready. Now one has to wonder when Thomas will be ready to go. Watch for him in practice this week. I would be looking for a couple of days of full (not limited) practice before I would expect to see him play. Thomas hasn't looked much like the hit the hole fast bruiser the Dolphins had envisioned when they drafted him according to camp reports. First he needs to get healthy then he needs to get his head screwed on straight so it may take a couple of weeks.

Updating a previous report, in addition to free-agent RB Brian Westbrook (49ers), the Miami Dolphins worked out free-agent RBs Thomas Clayton (Seahawks), Dimitri Nance (Packers) and Julius Jones (Seahawks) Tuesday, Sept. 13.

It might be longer than we think.

It's hard to peg at this time, Thomas may be 2-3 weeks away from being ready. They got Larry Johnson in and dropped then when Thomas re-tweeked the hammy Wed. they got LJ back. Yet LJ was active vs the Pats and didn't get used at all in the game. So bringing in all these other backs could be partially a lack of faith in LJ also. Reggie is a great flex play back and may even be a decent starter at RB considering how Addai, Blount and a few others performed last week.

Dolphins RB Daniel Thomas (hamstring) was listed as a full participant in Wednesday's practice.

Coach I just got the same info he was unlimited today. None of the RBs worked out have been signed. LJ was only brought back when they thought he was going to be out for a long period of time and we all know Bush isnt durable. I have him on my bench in a couple leagues and I think Ill hold on to him I liked what I saw.

The question in my mind is will they trust Thomas enough to give him the ball in the red zone and everything I've read says no. Good enough for me this week as Bush stays in as my flex.

Oh Yeah, hold on to him for sure. Unless your teams are injury riddled and you have to make a move you have to wait and see how this story plays out. Some fantasy owners cry bust way too early and do rash things early, there is still a lot of water to go under this season's dam. It's still a great situation in Miami for Thomas and if he can get healthy there will be an opportunity for Thomas to perform in the role the Phins had anticipated for him. How well Thomas responds is yet to be seen, but it is also only week two. At this point you aren't using him and it is frustrating that he wasn't a instant rookie success, but stay the course. He may not blow up and become a stud starter but that doesn't mean he won't be fantasy usefull to your team. This week 30%, week 3 40% he can still work his way into the role the Dolphins expected. Right now you don't use him but by time bye weeks come around and you really need him he could be getting more than 1/2 the carries and be a nice bye week plug in. The opportunity hasn't gone away, Thomas just hasn't stepped up to fill the void............ yet.

Oh Yeah, the situation right now makes Bush a great play for several weeks to come, a very nice bonus for those owners who grabbed Bush. Like you from what I have read Thomas will work into the lineup but not really be given goal line action right away. But by time bye weeks roll around Thomas could have a decent amount of touches. Kinda like Mathews/Tolbert, Mathews role is underwhelming but if you only need him as a bye week filler he is perfectly fine in that role.

The only people who expected Daniel Thomas to be a bruiser were the ones who looked at his size and decided that's what he must be. Problem is, that's not really what he is and anybody who thinks that is a moron. Most of those morons are the Dolphins beat writers and anybody who takes them seriously.
