Crabtree

I was just talking about him tonight.

I'd love to have him on my bench, but I'd start Josh Morgan ahead of him right now.

The 9er's are going to have to establish a down field game if they plan on competing with the elite teams and Crabs will be thier guy. For now, they seem content to pick and peck.

I'm not convinced that Smith is capable of playing his part in the deep game so if you're hungry for fantasy points TODAY you might as well let him ride someone else's bench.

If it were me, I'd hide this guy till the game plan is forced to change in San Fran.

I agree, cctek. I've been a big Josh Morgan fan for 2 years now, but coming into the season, like everyone else, I expected Crab to be the guy. After these 2 weeks, I'm happy for my late draft Morgan selections in a lot of my leagues.

Crabtree's problem is its going to take 4-5 weeks for him to get in sync because he missed training camp. Guy isnt a vet who "knows" how to prepare for the NFL.

I think you have to keep him. Its only been 2 weeks. I drafted Morgan in a couple leagues as well, but if somebody offered me Crabtree for him right now i would take it in a heart beat. Crabtree's ceiling is way higher then Morgan to me. Odds are you could replace Morgan from a WW add.

Well in the league I have him, I'm 1-1 and I'm wondering if keeping him on the bench prevents me from picking up someone else or a sleeper that could potentially get in my starting lineup each week now. Like would a Sims-Walker, Mcfadden, LT, Tolbert, D Thomas, Floyd, or Royal be a better pick up? I even question Harvin with his health issues right now.

Here is my current roster for RB/WR

RB
Mendenhall
Gore
Bradshaw
Forte
Moreno

WR
Fitz
Walter
Ocho
Boldin
Harvin
Crabtree

Does his value rise a little with the OC fired and possible shake-up in play-calling?? Thinking of dropping him for Maclin.
