Quick rumor floating at ESPN is there is a memo out that this year will not only have a college combine for those who are draftable, but also a veteran combine for FAs not currently signed.

Will look for more on this, but wanted to share. Interesting idea...

The veterans' combine will take place March 22 at the Arizona Cardinals' training facility in Phoenix. That is about one month after the rookie combine.

Vets have been going to regional combines for a few years but this will give your mid to lower tier guys a better shot.

Just another way to avoid a NFL developmental league

Interesting idea, wonder if you'll have the same folks and such. Would be interesting to see times on some of these guys.

In the past, veteran free agents were welcome at regional combines, another initiative created as a failsafe for potential NFL talent. However, this year, at the end of March just prior to league meetings, roughly 100 veteran free agents will be chosen through the application process to work out in front of representatives from all 32 teams. On the surface this seems like a great idea limiting the number of players and having an application process.

Do we see a Ray Rice workout here or will they bar people like that?

Actually Ray Rice was who i was exactly thinking of. He has to show folks he still has it, for them to take the risk of signing him and all the backlash that comes with it.

curious if once the Adrien Peterson stuff is done, and IF Minnesota let him go, if he partakes as well.
