Colston back

so i guess he's back... which will leave me some intersting decisions in a few leagues... the most pressing being that we are handcuffed to carry 5 wr in one particular league. Whoever had Colston dropped him after the injury and he a free agent, probably not through the night though unfortunately.... I have Brees and Hernderson already though and there definitely a couple guys i dont want to drop... keeping in mind i must carry no more or less than 5 wr and that i have Brees, here are my current wr for that team and this weeks matchups:

Desean Jackson (hit or miss so far) SF
Mario Manningham (aint did much yet) @AZ
Devery Henderson (leads NO in yards, although i would imagine Colston will regain the role) @JAX
Sidney Rice (huge first week... well for a seahawk) ATL
Miles Austin (currently hurt, a monster when not) DET

i think austin and jackson are undroppable, manningham and rice both could be, although id like to play rice vs atl @ home... and i dont reallty think much of having brees and 2 of his receivers. so i guess id be dropping devery if anyone? still difficult or am i overvaluing devery's importance with colston back?

I kind of missed the question here, Gizzil.

You've pretty much indicated that Colston won't make it through the night, so.....what advice do you need?

If you asking who you should drop to get Colston (just in case he falls to you) The obvious answer is Henderson.

basically is it too early to drop henderson/manningham/rice for colston based on his injury history and inconsistency, while devery has at least been there with yards every week

I agree with cctekguy.. drop Henderson.. you also have to remember that L. Moore is back and will also take catches away from Henderson making him WR3.

Drop Henderson for Colston. Make sure you keep Henderson on your watch list though for when Colston goes down again with another injury.

I think we're past the "advice" part of this thread, Norm, and it's time for the "Devery Is A Stud" portion of the show.

I don't trust Colston, not even a little bit. There was a time (distant) when Colston caught everything threw in his general direction. Not anymore and not lately. I do not see Colston as the Saint's clear cut number 1 WR even if healthy and I won't feel that he's #1 until he proves it to me. Colston has been a let down to us Saints fans of late but here's to hoping that he returns to the form of yesteryear. Going against everyone else here and saying I'd hang on to Henderson.

I think it's Henderson's turn next week (2 TDs) with Colston getting the majority of looks (7 for 106)

Colston is no longer an elite WR and hasn't been for more than a year. He doesn't run as hard as he did and he sure doesn't catch everything like he used to.
