If you need a refresher on the rules for the series or a run down of previous match-ups? Here is the rules and history thread:
"Close Calls 2010" - A Sports Outlaw Exclusive
Remember, this is based on re-draft leagues and non ppr scoring.

Today's Match-up:
Greg Jennings vs DeSean Jackson

Last Year's Stats:
DeSean Jackson - 15 gms - 62 rec - 1,156 rec yds - 9 TD's - 137 ru yds - 1 ru TD
Greg Jennings - 16 gms - 68 rec - 1,113 rec yds - 4 TD's

Today's match-up is between two WR's who are locking in on the top ten again this year. Jennings left fantasy owners wanting more last year while Jackson exceed expectations. So which one is worth the pick? That is the question in today's close call!

I went Jennings because he has the proven QB with back to back 1100 seasons under his belt. I love Jackson though, but I feel like I'd draft Jennings over Jackson if I had the choice.

Though I feel they will end up rather close, thus making this a great Close Call, I have gut feeling Jennings will be more consistent week by week, and DeSean peak and valley more.

Jackson, he is much more a threat for the long quick Td that Jennings and his knee issues of the past.

For me it's Jackson! Not taking anything away from Jennings, but Jackson is on the verge of something special IMO. He can get behind anyone and Kolb has the arm to get it him. They pass all the time and have enough weapons that d's can not concentrate only on him. Another aspect of Jackson that is often overlooked is the rushing. He adds another 100+ yds and a score on the ground to his numbers. When you have two receivers close on receiving this is just enough to push me to Jackson.

Jennings - proven QB, caught fire towards the end of the year, now the #1 with Driver ailing from another knee issue

Interesting Close Call. Jennings vs Jackson, Finley Vs Celek.

Do I sense a theme here?

Heck, you could go with Driver Vs Maclin or GB defense vs Philly defense as well.

Heck Miller, I'm not sure I'll be breathing tomorrow.

Jennings certainly took a step back last year...I drafted him high and cursed him all year long.

But the Green Bay situation looks very good for him to get back to form. Last year he was over valued and under achieved. This year I think he is under valued and should over achieve.

DJax is certainly not under valued and the chances of him repeating last year are in flux.

For where you can get him, I think Jennings is the better deal.

I like the way that sounds. Hell, that might be the best thing you've ever posted here Tek. :ribbon:

This is where information is king. The point of the Close Calls is to place two players with very similar ADP's against each other and present real draft day scenario's. So you can bet, that these close call players have VERY close ADP's and that is the case here.

Jax's current ADP is 2.12, Jennings 3.1. These are nearly identical ADP's so where you can get them is really irrelevant since they are the basically the same. Comes down to regardless of value, who you gonna pick if you come up and they are both there.

Want to wager Miller?

I'll wager Jennings goes a full round later than DJax in the upcoming SOFFL draft.

Wager is called off if YOU pick Jennings within the 1 round target.

$100,000 v-bucks sound reasonable?
