If you need a refresher on the rules for the series or a run down of previous match-ups? Here is the rules and history thread:
"Close Calls 2010" - A Sports Outlaw Exclusive
Remember, this is based on re-draft leagues and non ppr scoring.

Today's Match-up:
Justin Forsett vs Cadilliac Williams

Last Year's Stats:
Justin Forsett - 16 gms - 619 ru yds - 4 ru TD's - 41 rec - 350 rec yds - 1 rec TD
Cadillac Williams - 16 gms - 823 ru yds - 4 ru TD's - 28 rec - 217 yds - 3 rec TD's

Today's match-up is between two mid round RB who are looking to become reliable starting RB's this year. Can Caddy continue his resurgence and keep his career back on track? Can Forsett excel as the man in Seattle? So which one is worth the pick? That is the question in today's close call!

This is only a tough question, IMO, because Seattle has a new coach. I'm not sure how Pete Carroll is planning on running the ball with his multiple RBs there. On the other hand, Caddy is reportedly 100% healthy for the first time in like 4 years. I go Caddy here, as I see him getting 800-1000 yards this season. His receptions may not increase by much, but he'll touch the ball enough and maintain 3.9-4.2 yards.

...baring injury....

First, I simply don't think Caddy makes it healthy all year. History is against it.

Secondly, I think Forsette is a lock to take over as the main back in Seattle. I also think Seattle will run more after the effort they made to fix the O-line.

As such, this one to me isn't hard at all. Looking at the numbers from last year, and knowing Forsette got less opportunity, and had a worse O-line last year....this is a no brainer to me for Forsette.

I actually like both and have both on my mid round radar. If had to pick one, I think I lean ever so slightly to Forsett. That can always change, but right now I like the upside there a little more than Caddy.

I went Forsett, although Caddy is very close in my rankings. I've been switching both backs weekly on my rankings. Forsett just because of Caddy's injury status.

Forsett's upside is too hard to ignore. Jones never does anything and Washington is coming back from a significant leg injury.

Agree with Phic on this one.

Forsett just because of Caddy's injury history and he will have an easier schedule. WOW no Eagles to pick :)

As far as fantasy is concerned, I would draft Caddy, only because Forsett is a trendy guy to go get, and somebody will take him too high. Caddy is a much better value for where you can get him! I go with the Caddilac
