Remember, this is based on re-draft leagues and non ppr scoring.

Today's Match-up:
Tom Brady vs Philip Rivers

Last Year's Stats:
Tom Brady - 16 gms - 4,398 pa yds - 28 pa TD's - 13 Int's - 44 ru yds - 1 ru TD
Philip Rivers - 16 gms - 4,254 pa yds - 28 pa TD's - 9 Int's - 50 ru yds - 1 ru TD's

Today's match-up is between two top tier QB's coming off of very similiar years. So which one is worth the pick? That is the question in today's close call!

Went with Brady. Thought about Rivers, but who knows what is going on with V-Jax. Gates is gimpy and they have a new toy to run with a lot more then last year. Brady will do better then last year a year removed from his injury. Edelman=Welker if he's out and their running game isn't that impressive really.

The closer the season gets with the questions in SD the more and more I swing towards Brady. Brady is my #4 Qb now, and Rivers has fallen to #7 in my tier with Kolb, Favre and Cutler.

Initially I had Rivers at 4 and Brady at 5.

This is a good one. I go with Brady simply because he has the potential to score more TDs. The Pats have long established the fact that they are pass first in the red zone.

With SD drafting their new power back I am sure Norv Turner will attempt to have a more balanced attack.

I see Brady improving his numbers from last year.

I see Rivers holding the status quo and most likely having lower numbers in yds and TDs because of the addition of a viable every down RB.

I like Brady here too.

New England is a dying dynasty but will still compete. San Diego lost a lot to age (and stupidity) and will have to rebuild....again.

Brady all the way. With VJax potentially holding out through the season and SD drafting Matthews, Rivers goes down.

It's a tough decision:
<Rivers-only has Gates and maybe Jackson if he stays.
<Brady-has Moss and Welker, who just came off of a major injury. Plus Brady's contract is close to expiring.
So who knows who's better? They both have their ups and downs.

Also, Rivers should have the better running game behind him with Ryan Matthews and Sproles.

But Brady's god a couple of new TE's, Moss and Welker coming back (injury or not), Edleman also coming off of decent assistance.

It's still got to be Brady, my friend.

Brady’s Patriots are pass happy
3rd in total offense
3rd in Passing
12th in Rushing
