Cleveland Coaching Situation

Is Mangini done in Cleveland? They made some strides, but overall record still pretty bad. If he's gone, does Holmgren come back down? Morningwig? Fisher?

What direction do they go?

Tough call, Hillis provided a nice rushing attack which fills a void that has existed for a few years as their old RB guard was getting old. Colt took a pounding but showed some tenacity. The team seemed to have much more of a competitive feel about it.

Mangini has been fired in Cleveland.

So what direction to they go in now?

Cool. I hadn't had the radio or TV on today, but I fully expected him to be fired. I just don't think this guy is solid head coaching material.

Harbaugh of Stanford is a name being throw around a lot today but the Browns don't seem like a likely fit accoring to the conversations.

You'd think Holmgren would want a coach that favors the west coast offense. Gruden comes to mind if they can convince him. Unless, of course, Holmgren wants the position himself.

If their recent history is any indication, Josh McDaniels is probably already in the building.

Seriously though, I think ESPN is correct in anticipating a Holmgren-tree hire, if not the man himself.

Fisher is an option but highly doubt he would want the job. Think he would want something more and Oakland is that team.

I have to assume this is Holmgren wanting to coach and be GM again. Saw this coming a mile away.

I don't think Holmgren will coach

Look for him to hire a WC guy and I would not be suprised at all to see Zorn show up as OC. Holmgen is loyal almost too much to his people and Zorn got screwed over by Ruskell in Seattle
