Updating a previous item, the Charlotte Observer reports that Bengals WR Chris Henry suffered "life-threatening" injuries when he fell out of the back of a pickup truck in Charlotte (NC) Wednesday.
FOXSports' Alex Marvez reports that Henry is on life support. Bengals beat writer Joe Reedy says Henry is "believed" to have suffered a head injury after being found on the side of the road by medical personnel. Henry "came out" of the truck during a domestic dispute with his fiancee, a Charlotte native. As Henry's fiancee was driving away in the pickup, he allegedly jumped into the bed and ultimately fell or was forced out. Henry had been in Charlotte to finalize wedding plans. Police say Henry is still alive, but the situation is dire.

My gut tells me he is dead. Seems like the story got leaked (even cbssports.com had it up briefly), but people may be doing damage control right now to let the family be notified. Again, just my gut feeling.
Here is the latest that Reedy is confirming as accurate:
Foxsports.com is reporting that Henry is on life support and the situation is dire. That is accurate.
Regardless, this does not sound good at all....

Crap!
This was such a feel good story for both the NFL and the bengals. Kid is young, makes stupid mistakes, but gets his life in order and turns it around. Bad enough the kid got hurt and was put on IR, now this?!?!?!!?

Jesus, my prayers for his kids. I would not want to be the mother facing them saying...yep we fought and I went speeding off, and he got killed cause of it.

Yes, I know I am jumping the gun here. However, I am in SC right now at Clemson Univ....and reports here say he is barely hanging on.

This is standard in a situation like this. All Homicide means is unnatural death. It still does not yet indicate foul play.

Question for you John. Would a homicide investigation be issued like this if the person was still alive?

In that video...i wonder what made that hole in the back rear sliding window...did he hit it to be able to talk to her or could that be a place his head hit if she slammed on the brakes?

Mike/Mud, yes you would. Ive worked alot of bad ones that ended up non fatal but looked like they would be. You can always gather too much evidence. You cant go back and get what you left behind. Basically err on the side of caution.

If he is on life support...i wonder if its his mother who had the power of attorney to take him off of life support?
