-- Choice Apologizes for Getting Vick's Autograph on the Field --
Mon Dec 13, 2010 --from FFMastermind.com
CBS Sports reports through his Twitter account, Dallas Cowboys RB Tashard Choice apologized for getting Eagles QB Michael Vick’s autograph on the field after Sunday’s 30-27 loss to Philadelphia. Choice, a native of Georgia who grew up watching Vick with the Falcons, called it an “innocent gesture” for his nephew.

I don't know why he felt the need to apologize for this, and wonder who pressured him. I see nothing wrong with it. What about the rest of you?

I guess the thought is, "You're a professional just like him. Act like it." and that thought likely came from the interim head coach who's trying to re-build a culture.

Yeah pretty much. I know they get autographs from each other (NFL players) all the time. But wait until you get off the field to ask for it, IMHO.

I agree, it was a bad time to do it. Im sure had he went to the locker room and then had cross contact made Vick would do it no problem.

It cheapens the whole history of division rivals. The NFL just gets softer and softer each year.

Shaking hands, smacking butts, hugging, hold prayer circles. These are things that happen on the field after every game.

Choice asking for an autograph is the straw that breaks the camel's back? Really?

I am glad I'm not alone here. There wasn't a guy on the ESPN team that thought there was a thing wrong with this.

I don't think it's a big deal at all.:twocents:

What, are you gonna require Vick to think fast enough to say "hey Tashard, call my agent and I'll gladly get you an autograph"?

...well, they will NOW.

Give the guy a break.

I'm just stuck in the old school way of thinking. I feel like my Cowboys should hate Eaglechick's Eagles. But, it's not that way anymore

I wonder if he'd have done it if both teams were locked in the playoff hunt and they just lost. Probably not.

Fully agree here. No reason for this to be an issue.
