Can Matthew Stafford ever stay healthy?

How about an NHL franchise to divert the attention away from the Jags? The Commissioner loves putting teams in shitey markets. Then the fat lady would have two venues to work.....

Got arena footbal here. and thats just fun. Been to the last 2 games and its loud and wild. And college football takes away from the losing Jags. I prefer college ball anyways esp now that the nfl is on strike.

Yeah, we are pretty close to Syracuse, here in Ottawa. I hope to make it to my first NCAA game next season.

NFL.com's Pat Kirwan takes umbrage at the notion that Matthew Stafford is a "China Doll" because he's had two major shoulder injuries in his first two seasons.

"Go see the history of Phil Simms," said Kirwan. "He had plenty of injuries early in his career and people thought he was too injury prone." We could counter by looking at the history of late-60s Bengals phenom Greg Cook, but Kirwan's larger point is true. Early-career injuries aren't necessarily a death knell for a QB.

"Its An Outrage"
As of now im chalking his two unfortunate injuries up to a little bad luck landing on just the right or wrong spot.

One more serious injury the its the "China Doll" label for Stafford

Hopefully Detroit gets some O-line help to give Stafford the chance to be healthy and be the player i think he can/will be.

(Rotoworld) Matthew Stafford tweeted Thursday that his shoulder is getting "real close to 100 percent" healthy. Analysis: Stafford met with Dr. James Andrews Wednesday, and he's "more than happy" with the progress of his rehab. He's already begun throwing with no ill effects. Stafford should be back to full health by the time offseason practices finally kick off.

Matthew Stafford is just four months older than NFL draft prospect Ryan Mallett, and is actually younger than both Colin Kaepernick and Andy Dalton. It's all too easy to forget that Stafford made his first NFL start at only age 21, and came into the league much earlier than most signal callers. His health remains the single most critical factor when it comes to evaluating his NFL future, but it's definitely important to remember what he's already accomplished at such a young age.

#2 QB ?? Must be for 8/10 team leagues

(TheHuddle) Detroit Lions QB Matthew Stafford (shoulder) said he felt good after throwing in a quarterback competition Saturday, April 16, at the Georgia spring game, according to CBSSports.com. Stafford is pleased with the progress he's made rehabbing his injured shoulder. 'Being able to come back (from the shoulder injury) as quick as I did has been nice,' Stafford said.
Analysis: All indications are that Stafford's recovery is going well and right on target at the present time. He is without question an emerging young star that just needs to stay on the field and avoid the injury bug and hope that his shoulder continues to improve. Fantasy owners should consider him a No. 2 quarterback with tremendous upside this season.

This is weighing the injuries into the equation some I'm sure. In a redraft situation I have him 13 to 15 though and agree.

I have-

Rodgers
Brady
Brees
P. Manning
Rivers
Ryan
Roethlisberger
Schaub
Vick
Romo
Freeman
E Manning

all above him, and

Bradford
Flacco
and Cutler right there with him.

Lots of good Qb's right now, in my opinion, and many of them have stayed healthy and have weapons too.
