The team did not annouce a reason for him not being there. It is hoped that they simply gave him the day off to rest.

Calvin Johnson rolled his ankle on Sunday. Taking treatment daily, said he expects to play
Calvin Johnson was held out of Lions practice Wednesday as a precaution after rolling his ankle in last week's demolition of the Bucs.
Johnson opted for treatment over practicing, but should be back on the field by Thursday or Friday. He has a juicy Week 2 matchup against an Eric Berry-less Chiefs defense that allowed four Ryan Fitzpatrick TD passes in Week 1.
Calvin Johnson confirmed Wednesday that his left ankle injury is minor after rolling it in Week 1.
"Get the swelling out, and I’ll be ready," Johnson said. "I’m walking fine, it’s just you’ve got to get the swelling out before you can do anything." The Detroit Free Press confirms that Megatron "should be fine" for Week 2.
Its complicated. We are in a contract year and salary cap dynasty system.Everything I heard all day sounds like it was a day of rest for the #1 WR this season, but I still added Burelson just in case.
Phic Im curious what did you get for him??
