So who are some guys you woulds try to "buy low" on?
Here are some of mine:
QB:
Kaepernick - back to back single digit weeks will have some owners frustrated.....but he showed what he can do as a ceiling in week 1. While we are now seeing that you can expect him to be inconsistent, he will also have some great weeks in there as well. If you need to improve your QB spot, his value may be as low as it will be all year.
E Manning - Since a strong week 1, he's been BAD! Proven track record here. If you need depth, he could be had on the cheap side or part of a package. You may also be able flip a lesser QB who is off to a hot start for him if you are inclined to do so.
RB:
Eddie Lacy - I still like his value in the 2nd half of the year. He has not had much of an opportuntity but due to other backs showing promise in GB some may be worried. If the price is right, I would be a buyer here.
CJ Spiller - Jackson has looked strong, Spiller has struggled, and the offense does not look like it's committed to the run (the 8 man boxes may have something to do with it)....so why do I like this buy low? Kid is still very talented and Manuel will continue to progress as a passer. As the season wears on, he will have more space. An added plus is Jacksonville and Miami in the fantasy playoffs....bot look to be good to great run match-ups. Get him before he heats up.
Chris Johnson - 70-96-90 are his rushing yards per game. Nothing spectacular, but no stinkers either. Solid yardarge numbers. I have to think it's just a matter of time that he breaks a long one or two and is looking at a big game. TD's will come. Rushing game looks better than last year overall. Don't sell the farm, but if you find him a little under valued by the current owner, jump on it.
WR:
Hakeem Nicks - coming off a goose egg in what many thought was a favorable match-up there are going to be some upset Nicks owners. Things in NY look bad, but Nicks is still a strong play at WR and if you can get him cheap his value should increase as the seaosn goes on. Nicks seems to be a WR that is good for a couple huge games a year.....get him before he goes off on one.
Justin Blackmon - Suspension is coming to an end. Jacksonville has looked very bad. Some may be willing to deal him just to get as far away from the stench of Jacksonville as possible. Look into the asking price, if there is value there jump on it.
TE:
Heath Miller - Big Ben has missed him. He will get more involved as he gets back into the flow more. Not expecting pre-injury Miller, but I do see him being a solid play down the stretch.
