Buccaneers | WR Williams working to avoid sophomore slump Mon Jul 4, 08:54 PM Charlie Campbell, from PewterReport.com, reports Buccaneers second-year WR Mike Williams is working hard this offseason to avoid any sophomore slump in 2011. Williams has been learning the 'Z' (flanker) position after playing as an 'X' (split end) WR during his rookie season.
Our view: Williams is trying to give Bucs Offensive Coordinator Greg Olson more options as to where he will line up. This versatility could help the team exploit mismatches they identify, and will allow them to move Williams all over the formation. The 'X' receiver tends to run deeper routes, while the 'Z' receiver catches short and underneath passes. We expect Williams to be the Bucs leading receiver this season, but it may be difficult for him to duplicate the TD numbers (11) he put up last year.

Benn around to help, and Winslow healthy with a young tough RB and a winner for a QB. Good things for the bucs. I feel Williams can repeat the double digit TD's. That kind of first year chemistry is kind of hard to dismiss.
