Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Arrelious Benn (knee) made his preseason debut Saturday, Aug. 17, against the Miami Dolphins. He hauled in one catch for 12 yards, and he also had 11 yards on a reverse. He has been on course all off-season to be the starter opposite Williams this year. It's nice to see him get this much action under his belt before the season starts.

He was really good in college. I hope he comes to. In fact, many people thought that he was more NFL ready than Mike Willaims last year (not I, mind you) but was plagued with injury. If he can become a reliable pair of hands for Freeman, that offense is deadly good. Sammy doesn't get the love I think he deserves either. If they kept him in the slot more often I think Williams, Benn, Sammy, Winslow, Blount would be an amazing check down for 5.

I own Benn in multiple leagues, as his possible value on that young exciting offense pushed me over the top when he continued to drop.

I own Been in a couple of leagues also. He has been going late in drafts as he has been a bit of a faith pick since you were hoping he would be ready according to his injury timetable. With him hitting the field earlier that his recovery schedule he should be a bit safer of a pick now as you know know he is healthy and a definate at #2 WR for the Bucs.

He has that upside potential to develop into a nice #2 WR. Generally only about 1/2 of the NFL #2 WRs make a real fantasy impact ( depending on the size of your league and lineup requirements). Benn has the kind of potential that could make him a very useful cog in your WR Corps.
