Bryant refuses to carry Roy Williams pads

Rookie hazing is customary and at times funny. But this one strikes me as funny as hell. Dez told Roy he was here to play football not to carry his pads. I think Roy may want to concentrate a little more on holding onto his own job than having the rookie that is going to take his job hold onto his pads. If a vet who is set in their place on the team (Witten for example) wants to haze the rook, fine. But a bum who never lived up to the money they payed him or the compensation they gave in a trade to try to show up the guy who's taking his job makes Roy look like more of a douche than he already is.

I'm likeing Dez more and more every day.

Not sure where I stand on this. Roy Williams is by no means an established veteran on this team, and has no business hazing a rookie when he is likely to lose his starting role on the team.

But.....

I'm also not keen on a rookie getting an attitude and refusing to go along with something that has been a part of football for years. It worries me about what kind of attitude may follow 2-3 years into his career.

The attitude that will follow is a self-centered diva WR attitude like all the good WR's seem to have of late....what else did ya expect from him?

He is there to replace roy williams because he hasnt done crap since coming there. Roy should be carrying Dezs pads cause he probably wont be on the team after this year.

Leave the hazing and grabass games to the days of college and HS. Your in the big leagues now and paid very well too play a game.

How can Roy Williams even think he can make someone carry his pads. He sucks and has done absolutely nothing in Dallas.

Yup, a new guy shows up in a Suit, Tie, ready to go to work with that attitude is 1 thing. Guy shows up with hat on sideways, pants half way down his ass with that attitude is another thing. We drafted Bryant in an expert league in the #5 spot. Sure hope he is the suit and tie guy
